Kinda OT: Where do you shop?
I LOVE CATO's. It is a great shop around here, not sure how far it stretches out, but it has plus sizes and then regular and juniors. All my friends say, "Where did you get that" because they are wonderful...I kinda wish I hadn't told them, because, now they are all shopping there too.....LOL Oh, as Dana said, I also love Lerners/New York. When I was skinnier, I used to shop there too, can't wait to get back down to those sizes.......
A Thin fund sounds great. I have made a point that since Im a retail manager, every payday I will buy one thing... at least. Im in a solid 14 but would love to be a 12. Im having trouble with shorts. they are iether hoochie momma or long boy short style. I gave up and just cut my own out of pants that were to big. I guess im out of fasion cuz all the knee length that Im selling just arnt cute to me... or flattering to anyone (I think) I try stuff on almost daily. just for Ideas.
Why arnt the good ol fashioned cutt ofs in style. I miss them.'

I'm in an odd place. I mean in clothes. I an wearing a 16, so I can fit in the biggest misses size OR the smallest plus size. Recently I have been shopping at walmart and the thrift shoppes (only to save a penny ya know). I have started ordering by mail Victorias secret and fredericks of hollywood....haven't gathered the courage to step foot in the stores though.

I mostly shop at old navy. I can wear the regular size 18's or like 14/16 in plus size. I wear like l to xl tops. I sometimes go to Lane Bryant-they have Seven jeans which I LOVE and cute crops. I wear a 16 there. Almost 14. I also hit Torrid every once in awhile and find one or two things I can't live without
This weekend though I went to Aeropostale with my sis who is like 110 pounds and she wears like a size 0. Anyway I got a tiny tee size XL and it fit. I wore it to the Rose Festival. It is cute it says Blonde and Smart. I love it!

Don't laugh but I buy most of my clothes from QVC. I have a hard time getting to the mall and they have great stuff in all sizes and their prices are really good too.
Right now I'm still in my "closet" where old clothes that I grew out of but will need to replenish soon. I have nothiing smaller then 18's and 1X and that's what I'm wearing now.
I'm so short I have to shop in the petite section. Let me tell you, your choices aren't much better than in the plus size department. I find that J.C. Penney has a good selection. They've had some great sales recently too. We have two local department stores Bon-Ton and Kauffman's (just bought out by Macy's) and I shop there too. My favorite is a consignment shop. I've bought several outfits there, outgrown them and then took them back for them to sell for me. It's great...When I get a check from them I go back and buy more in my new smaller size.
I'm in a 14P in jeans, but a 12 in capris etc. Gotta love this surgery!

I buy my work clothes at Talbott - they do great plus sizes. (if anyone needs business wear 18-22 pls let me know). I also buy at Lord and Taylor, typically the Kate ?? or Ralph Lauren.
Right now I am in 16W and they are baggy, like Dawn I have not yet gained the courage to move upstairs to the regular stuff. But will soon....
I am also a big catalog person and like the stuff from Soft Surroundings, they do plus and regular and I am pleased to say I wear their XL. target has had good stuff in the past but this summer its all crap and I am disappointed.
Will check out old navy based on all your positive feedback...
Refuse to go to LB or Avenue at this point, I am over that, even if their smaller sizes still work. My mindset has changed.
I have soooooo many clothes that I kept when my weight went UP that I am still working my way thru them and am now at my peak in terms of tons of stuff to wear. But in 10 lbs it will all be too big.
And I have 5 boxes of cute summer stuff in a 14 that I saved from when I was thin....oh, what was it, 15 years ago?!??!!?? Hmmm.. Soon that will fit and work well for late summer. I am not buying anything and saving for the time when I am 14 or smaller.
I now wear my smallest suit which is a 16/18 and that will soon be available....
