how much on average is everyone eating at this point????
Hi everyone--I was wondering on average how much everyone who had their surgery in January is eating at this point? I found out I was eating too little combined with too much exercise so I cut back a little on the exercise and am eating the same but I am trying to find a good balance at almost 5 months out--this week I havent moved an pound on the scale because of my monthly friend but once thats gone I want to figure out what to do to get a good balance-I am open to any and all advice-please help-thanks-Lori

My surgeon told me not to count calories so I don't. Every now and then I go to fitday.com out of curiousity and my calories are between 400 and 500. I know a lot of people say thats low but I cant make myself eat more if my pouch wont allow it. The only thing I do count is Protein. The only thing I weigh is my hamburger, turkey patties and chicken. They are usualy 2 1/2 oz. and it fills me up. Other things like beans and tuna is usually a little more than 1/4 C. but less than a 1/2 cup.

OK-- I always am bummed by these posts because I eat so much more than everyone else---BUT I always respond so that anyone else who can eat this much knows that they are not alone!
I eat between 1000-1500 cals per day (and have even gone over on rare occasion). I can easily eat a cup of food and don't dump. I have vomited from eating too much, too fast and not chewing.
I've given up trying to reason out why this is--it just is (who dumps, who doesn't--who feels hungry, etc..). I have felt hungry the entire way along and never need reminders to eat-.
As for exercise---- I exercise 3-4 times per week on the treadmill and chase my toddler daily.
That's my story!
Cathy
