(I'm funny, I almost started this post by telling you all how far out I am.... DUH!!! Its the Jan 06 board... Anyhoos......) How has your familys weight changed since surgery... If at all. I assumed that they would loose as I had a healthier lifestyle, but It almost seems the oppisite. I guess there are more leftovers or something but I was just wondering if anyone else has seen a difference in the ones around them. Elsa

Elsa~ Everything I don't finish eating, my partner finishes it for me. She has gained 4 lbs. since my surgery. She is only 160 so she is not worried about it but I told her that 4 lbs. will turn in to 8 before she knows it. My mom and daughter now watch what they eat and are trying to make more healthy food choices. Kay

Elsa, My hubby started my WLS journey at 186 and today weighs 171. He lost 15 pounds without any effort. I think it is due to the fact that I do not cook tons like I used to. Every meal we could have seconds and thirds, plus have enough left ofr him to take to work the next day. Now I cook enough for one helping plus enough to take to work the next day. God Bless, Jen

My mom has lost about 15 lbs since I had WLS, she is obese too and would like to have surgery in the near future. Jesse is as skinny as a board so no change there! Dana

Elsa, This is a good question. My family as a whole eats more healthy, but individually, only my oldest daughter and husband have lost weight. My oldest wasn't big to begin with, but she's really curved out and shaped up. My hubby is a large man, but not a fat man -- about 6 foot tall -- big frame -- and about 250 pounds. He's toned up and lost some of the little belly pooch that he had. My middle daughter is the one who is prone to weight gain and she's stayed the same. I'm trying to get her to exercise with me and she does go to the gym with me once or twice a week. My little one is only 6 and doesn't have an ounce of fat on her. Lisa

My husband has lost about 25 lbs. I think he feels guilty about eating a lot in front of me, LOL Susan

My BF can eat whatever he wants and still look great, the #$%)(#$%, so no change there. My mom had thought that she would lose some weight too, but so far no luck. Beth

My sister joined Weigh****chers and has lost 35lbs since my surger and even my dog lost 5lbs We had her for her annual vet appointment in April and she is down to 49lbs. The little porker used to weigh 60lbs and has been on weight control kibble for the past couple of years. But she has slimmed down even more since I haven't anything to feed her So it's been a good thing for my family
