Laxative Question

I've been feeling rather irregular lately.... rather constipated, to be blunt. Does anyone know of a laxative that might help? I've never taken a laxative in my life and need to know which ones work. Any info is appreciated. ~Teri~

Hi Teri, I use the "Smooth Move" tea by traditional medicinals. You can purchase it at GNC and your local grocery store. You drink 1 cup before bed and it produces a BM within 8-10 hours. I have been using it ever since that problem arrised. Good Luck, Carly

Hi Teri I also drink Smooth Move Tea. I buy mine from Vitamin Shoppe. It's 8 oz and it doesn't taste too bad. I drink it right before bed. Kay

I kind of like the Wild Cherry MOM flavor. I have had a constipation problem since day one and that includes the 3 weeks I was on antibiotics for an abcess. I have found that I have to take MOM every three days or I get into trouble. I tried Colace and Pericolase. I was up to 5 tabs a day with no softening of anything nor BM's. Janis

benefiber is my friend and i always try to eat a liitle good fat, like avocados to help things along!

I use Colace which is not really a laxative but a stool softener. I actually get the generic kind at WalMart which is Docusate Sodium and its a lot cheaper. Its been helpful for me. Debbie
