First off Dawn??? 7???? I hate you.....OK NOT HATE, but um if you lose 40 more pounds you'll wear like a -2..... My success - Went to my primary physician to get my first checkup with her since my surgery...My blood pressure had become a problem running 180/95 mostly and meds were really not helping much...My surgeon took me off meds, as my BP was mostly OK when he sees me..SO, I was afraid with no meds it would really be bad......117/74. The nurse was amazed that in 5 months and -75 pounds that my BP could be perfectly normal because of the surgery...(I live in a small town so she doesn't see many WLS patients... So that is my little success....but when I get to a size 7 you will be seeing my butt too.......

Congrats Marsha! That is super about your blood pressure. I'm still on BP medicine, but I think I'm ready to get off. When I monitor it lately, its been either normal or a little low. I've had some dizzy spells so I'm thinking the medicine is making it a little low. Now to convince the doctor that I can go off of it. Every time I go to the doctor, it seems like its higher, but I have my records of what's its running during normal home time. I go to the doctor in a couple more weeks for my 6 month check, so I'm hopeful of no more BP medicine. Debbie

You are doing great! It's awesome that your BP is NORMAL!! When I had mine taken in Urgent Care last Friday, it was something like 110/65. Outside of when I was pregnant, it has never been that low....it shocked me. You keep on keepin on... Chele

Hey there Marsha! That is great news. I was happy that my BP, taken yesterday, was way lower than usual too. Now I just have to go back to my PCP and have her take it again to prove I don't need meds, which she keeps trying to push on me. I'm like, just give me another month, it'll be down, I swear! lol...at my surgeon's office yesterday it was a great number. Feels good, doesn't it!? Beth
