What's on YOUR menu for Saturday?

I went to a 50th wedding anniversary celebration 1 1/2 hrs. away. I drove my in-laws. Here's the menu, which does include snacks, but my surgeon prefers 5-6 mini-meals a day. I don't know what to call them other than snacks. I'm losing plenty of weight this way and getting in all the protein I need and exercising regularly, so I'm good w/ it.
B: 1/2 c Jimmy Dean Southwest breakfast skillet
S: Protein Iced Mocha Latte
L: reception food: couple veggie sticks, 2 crackers w/ spinach dip, 1 piece of roast beef lunch meat, 1 cube cheese, 3 bites of fruit, and 3 small bites of cake
D: 2 baked buffalo chicken strips
Vitamins: done
Water: 64 oz. so far
Exercise: 45 minutes of Chicometrics

Hi Karla
My surgeon also wants me to do 6 small meals a day ( 3 meals w/ 3 snacks) OR 3 meals and 2 protein shakes. I sometimes do the 3 meals with 2 shakes but haven't mastered the 6 small meals yet. I get full from trying to get all my water in.
My cousin who had wls 4 years ago and is maintaining her weight well also stands behind the 6 small meals a day. So your doing it exactly right according to your surgeon and mine.
I THINK the reason people don't post their menu anymore because they do things different or they think they eat more or less than others. I try to stress that all surgeons are different and there is no 1 right way to eat. Like you said, your loosing and your getting protein in! Whatever works!!
Keep up the great work
Kay
Don't you just love lazy weekend days? I do.
Today all I did was grocery shop, then it was at home spa night tonight
watched some TV and did a facial, pedicure & manicure, and plucked the eyebrows. It was a wonderful day!
Here is what sustained me:
B: 3oz LF Cottage Cheese w/ some Carb Clever Peaches
F: Champion Stack Chocolate Protein drink- not bad, but I mixed it with h2O, Im sure it will be better with some CC Choco Milk as a base tho.
L: 4 Bing Cheeries and 8 Soy Crisps
D: Mission Carb Blance Whole Wheat Fajita Size Tortilla sprinkled w/ 2 oz Mozz/Cheddar cheese, then I put it in a dry pan w/ lid on the stove till crispy and the cheese melted. I dipped it in a sour cream & salsa sauce. It took me a while to fini**** but its so good!
F: Verry Berry Vanilla Protein Delite shake (made with h20)
TOTALS:
Cals 717
Fat 25
Carbs 46 (which, is 6g above my limit, but the tortilla had almost 9g of dietary fiber, and the soy crisp have some too... so I don't feel that guilty)
Protein 75
