1~ What is your goal weight and is it different than your Dr's goal for you? My doctor said he would like to see me around 160lbs, which is still overweight but he sets his goals to where they can be obtained without being freaked out about not meeting them. However, my goal is to be 140lbs by the end of next summer...so far at 250lbs I am slowing down a bit...almost time for a fill in September. I figure if I can lose the 50lbs by the end of this year, I'll be on track. With the help of
and pure determination I should be able to make it.
2~At 6 months post op, Are you happy with what you see in the mirror? Yes and no. Everyone is so pleased with the weight I've lost and I have to admit I am buying cuter clothes and even got my hair highlighted, now I'll get my ears repierced and I'm thinking about getting my nails done...woo hoo. There are still days that I just dont see the progress and I get down...but I am working on my self-esteem day by day.
3~Do you have any weekend plans? I work Saturdays, but afterwards going to go to the gym and then relax...maybe go to a movie with my friend. Sunday: not sure, my roommates brother was just diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, so not sure how the rest of my weekend will go. If he is stable, probably take my friend out to dinner and just spend some time with him trying to help him through this ordeal.

1~ What is your goal weight and is it different than your Dr's goal for you?
My doctors goal for me is 145, he simply chose that number because it makes me in the normal weight range for my hieght. Now, I am not 100% posistive what my personal goal is, but I know it is going to be lower than that. Maybe 135? I just know that I do have a smaller frame and I would like to be at a healthier weight.
2~At 6 months post op, Are you happy with what you see in the mirror?
Oh, my mind is CRAZY. What I see in the mirror is sooooo different then reality. Even pre-WLS, I did not have a clue. I see pre-op pictures now and can't believe that was me, and then I see current pictures and still, can not believe that it is me
But, what I do know is that I am smaller and happier at this more healthy weight!
3~Do you have any weekend plans?
Well, my plan is to do nothing, and to NOT spend any money! I am going to NYC next weeked and so I need to save up all I can before.

Good morning Special Kay!
1~ What is your goal weight and is it different than your Dr's goal for you?
My goals weight is 150. My doctor's never told me, but they have a website to keep track of your food and weight on, and every time I go to the doctor it gets changed to 132. I would look like a stick at that weight. I think I'll be happy at 150, but we'll see. I could probably live w/ 175, but that may be too much. I'm only 5'5".
2~At 6 months post op, Are you happy with what you see in the mirror? Yes, but will be much happier at 150 lbs. Too much spare tire still around the middle. I do know that at my age and my starting weight, it will take plastic surgery to get rid of part of the middle, but that's fine, I'm getting it done, arms, middle, breasts, whatever I need.
3~Do you have any weekend plans? Friday I have to pick up my son at football camp in Huntsville, drive about 45 minutes further to The Woodlands and pick up my niece and nephew from my brother, and come back home. Saturday we all go to Jacksonville, TX (about 2 hrs. north of us) to watch another nephew play in a state all stars baseball tournament through Sunday.

Hey there Kay! I'm going to play today:
1~ What is your goal weight and is it different than your Dr's goal for you?
My doctor thinks that the surgery will bring me to about 180, and has been clear that it will take continued hard work for me to get below that. My goal for myself is between 150 and 160, and I am up to the challenge.
2~At 6 months post op, Are you happy with what you see in the mirror?
It depends on the day. Some days yes, and some days no. I was really happy on my surgiversary day on Sunday, but then I saw the pictures and I actually really dislike the pictures of myself that are on my profile. All I can see are the fat and bad parts.
3~Do you have any weekend plans?
No real weekend plans as of yet. This week though we have my BF's nephew with us, and the BF and I are playing "family" with him. Making sure he's taken care of. It's kind of fun. Especially considering he and I are talking about finally settling down and doing the marriage/kids thing.

Hi Kay and happy anniversary to you and your partner
,
1~ What is your goal weight and is it different than your Dr's goal for you? My doctor hasn't given me a goal weight, I will ask him Monday when I see him. For me I have always thought somewhere between 170-180 would be terrific. I'm curious to see what he has to say.
2~At 6 months post op, Are you happy with what you see in the mirror? I still see the "fat girl" in the mirror. My clothes are smaller, the scale says I weigh over 90lbs less and even in pictures I can see it, but the mirrow fools me and says
you're still "fat"
3~Do you have any weekend plans? Not yet, I still haven't unpacked from vacation
