this is kind of a newbie question, the kind of thing we posted about months ago..but I, too, am a little bored with the menu du jour and want to know your favorite: 1) protein shake: make and flavor 2) protein bar My answers: I like Go Lean pro shake mix--I mix it with coffee and milk (as Dawn and Kay suggested to me several weeks ago)--it's now my fave. 220 cals and 30 g protein. I like the payday protein bars (of course--they taste like candy) and the Think Thin! bars----I can't remember the numbers and I don't have any in the house now to check. Thanks! Cathy

1) Best tasting: Chocolate Champion Pro Whey Stack + 1 Tbs. Peanut butter + 1" banana Best Nutrition & Ease: New Whey Protein Test Tubes. They are so quick and have 0 carbs. Lightest flavor: Nectar Fuzzy Navel- very thin and light, not overpowering. Easy to mix with other juices. 2) Power Crunch Tripple Chocolate- the only bars I can eat because of carbs. The chocolate is by far my favorite flavor. But rumor on the main board is there are new flavors comming soon. (p.s. i hate the peanutbutter one)

So, MM---the new whey protein test tubes? I've never seen this--it's a powder you put in milk, like other pro drinks? Cathy

Hi Cathy! 1~ My favorite protein is Iced Cappicuano by Nectar. If you like Cappicuano or coffee, you will love this. When I add it to my coffee, you can't even tell it's protein in it. 2~ My favorite protein bar is the Power Crunch Bar. It has the lowest amount of carbs and sugars than any other protein bar that I have found. Vanilla is my favorite but chocolate is good too! I agree with Mary, Peanut butter is gross! Qsmart bars are good too.. you can get them in any grocery store. Cranberry almond is the best in that. It's not really a protein bar. It's a granola snack bar but it does have 10 grams of protein Good luck finding something you like! Kay

Hey Cath where the heck is your picture? Oh yeah you had a question 1. protein powder - I really llike the low carb Isopure Dutch Chocolate. I only use 1/2 serving per shake and that's 105 calories and 25 grams of protein. Not too shabby 2. For bars I liike the Qsmart Bars much better than Power Crunch. Power Crunch had a weird consistancy and aftertaste. I also really like Luna Bars - the Carmel Nut Brownie is my favorite but it is a bit high in sugar for me and I can only eat 1/2 at a time. But if I need something really chocolately want a treat, I'll have a Luna

I have alot of trouble with protein powders....even the ones that others rave about make me gag! However, I have found Weider's Protein Shake mixes to be tasty and easy for me to drink...I mix them with skim milk so a shake is easily 30 grams of protein. It comes in Pineapple Splash..mmm....and Peach/Mango...more mmmm.. Im also using the Whey Gourmet found in WalMart....the Creamy Dreamy Chocolate is delicious, also the Orange Dreamsicle and the Strawberries and Cream. I also do like the Atkins Advantage CHOCOLATE Pre-Made Protein Drinks in cans..hate te vanilla ones, they always seem to clump up..eeeuuuww! The only protein bar that Ive found that I can get down is the CLIFF bars..that comes in many flavours including Peanut Toffee Buzz,Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch, Choclate Almond Fudge, Apple Oatmeal Raisin and Carrot Cake didnt care for that one)....these have the consistancy of a homemade soft chewy cookie and no funny aftertaste. I get them here in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart in the Health Food section and in a few Outdoors Supply Stores at $2.49 each...11 grams of protein. Nancy B

My favorite protein drink is the Isopure pre-mixed drinks. 20 ox, 40g protein and 160 calories. I buy them at GNC. I have never had a protein bar. For some reason I can't find one that has acceptable carbs. Bridget
