HELP! I CAN'T STAND MY BIG APRON!
Hello again all, I have a big apron since losing over 100 lbs. I am almost 7 months post op and this apron is killing me. I am going to get it removed as soon as I am allowed but I hear it takes up to 1 year to 1 1/2 years post op until a surgeon will touch you. I need something to tuck it in and I don't know what or where to look. Anybody have his problem? Any advice. I am starting to get rashes and they hurt

Try lanolin (the pure kind that mothers use when breastfeeding) or desitin or any other diaper rash ointment or cream that is meant to help keep moisture from the skin.
You may want to buy a binder garment. Do a google search and you should come up with several options. This may help keep "it" in place.
God Bless!

Hey Norma
I'm sorry your having issues. I started at 450 lbs. and have lost 180 so I totally understand what your going through. When I'm going some where I wear panties that have the tummy control in them. They really help with holding things in and prevents it from rubbing againist your skin. As far as the rashes, I just try to keep it really dry and clean. My doctor prescribed "Nystatin Topical Powder" and it really works quick. I use it where ever there is any kind of rubbing or irritation.
I too cant wait to get all this extra skin removed.

450 was my highest weight. I lost down to 388 the day of surgery. Since surgery I've lost about 119 ( I don't weight much) so my total is 180. I wish my loss was 180 lbs. since surgery.. wouldn't that be nice?!
I eat a very boring menu and eat the same things over and over again. I post it everyday on the "menu post".

There are a cuple of things you can wear that will make you more comfortable and hold the apron in. Lipo In a Box or Spanx both have products that can help. You can get them both at www.qvc.com and they are also available in many of the higher end department stores.
They aren't cheap though.
