Protein Power Hour!
Ok, as some know I wanted to create a Protein Challenge for the board... but it was hard to design something that fit everyone (since everyones goals are different).
So, I came up with this concept...
PROTEIN POWER HOUR- for one meal (aka "hour") a day try to fit in at least 1/3 of your protein goal for the day... that means for me, I try to get in at least 70g so for protein power hour, I would need to consume 24g of protein.
Now, this shouldn't be too hard... 3-4oz of lean meat, protein drinks, etc.
The ultimate goal for me would be to build up to three protein power hours a day. Thus not snacking or needed to have anything additional to take care of my protein... it would all be taken care of in my 3 meals a day. (Those can/should snack, can still snack but that would only be boosting and adding to the days protein intake)
Make sense?
Anyway, this is open to anyone who wants to participate. Once a week (Wednesday's) I will post asking how many "power hours" you have had that week. The challenge would be to have at least 7 for a week.
Hope you all will join me with this goal! We all need our protein

I can do that! I need 90 grams of protein daily:
My breakfast is always a protein shake:
skim milk-10 grams
Weider's protein powder(either peach/mango or pineapple splash) 20 grams
= 30 grams
today's lunch was cottage cheese 1 cup=30 grams protein (I eat that over an hours time) with unsweetened pineapple

I did it, without even trying!
I had a shake this afternoon B-wise chocolate raspberry protien powder with about 12 ounces of Carb Control Skim Milk...
My total for my power hour is 32 gs of protien...
This is not my usual routine... but I guess it really should be... I need to concentrate on getting in enough....
WooHoo!!!
Great job everybody!
