I'm dizzy...

So I went to the gym around 4 p.m. today, and had a really good workout. I normally don't sweat too much, but I was sweating like a pig today, and felt good afterwards. When I was getting out of my car to go in the house, I felt a little dizzy but it passed after a few seconds. I came in and started dinner, took a shower, and had a protein iced coffee. I didn't really feel a difference any...i was feeling okay. Then, after I ate dinner I was getting up off the couch and was instantly dizzy. I didn't feel like I was gonna fall, but my head was a little woozy. I've felt this before for a few seconds here and there in the past, but I really wasn't thinking of it all. I'm thinking because of my intense workout that maybe I had burned off a lot of calories and carbs, and maybe my sugar was a little low because of that. But I had 1/2 of an english muffin today, and snuck some FF pringles before even working out. Has anyone else experienced this??? Since then, I've eaten some goldfish and some more pringles and have felt a lot better since then. And for dinner all I had was salmon and broccoli, so I don't think I had too much fat. I know what I feel like whenever i have too much fat, and this wasn't the same! I hardly ever work out later in the day, so I don't know if that makes a difference. I don't remember feeling like this after working out when I work out in the morning. Sorry for rambling, but I was just a little concerned. Thanks! April

Who knows what is causing it. It could be low blood sugar or pressure. If it continues, ck. with your dr. Karla

I'm feeling better today. I was fine after my workout this morning. You're right...I am the nurse! I figured it was either my sugar or my pressure, but I'll be checking with my doc if it happens again. Thanks! April

April, You should get a blood pressure cuff for home, they aren't expensive and it's a great way to check your pressure on your own. I know that mine has dropped significanly since surgery and I get dizzy too from a quick pressure drop, expecially when I get up too fast. Just a thought Regards and hugs, Ronna

Thanks Ronna. I was thinking I could have that, too. It's called orthostatic hypotension, but I've haven't heard of the younger population being affected by it. And my pressure has dropped quite a bit since surgery, so that could be it. Thanks. April
