Since I'm up early I thought I would do a rollcall for a change: 1. Who has been your biggest supporter in your WLS journey? 2. Who has been the most negative in your WLS journey? 3. Any big plans for the weekend? 4. What has been the worst protein supplement product you tried? Here are my answers: 1, Without a doubt it's my sister. She's been with me every step of the way 2. My aunt. I think she was just very scared by the whole idea but now she is happy for me too. 3. I have to go to the eye surgeon on Saturday morning to discuss my upcoming surgery. Then on Saturday night I am meeting with cousins of mine for dinner at one of my favorite places. My favorite cousin is in town from Las Vegas and I haven't seen him since Thanksgiving. Boy will he be surprised to see me Have a good day all! Ronna

Good Morning Ronna! Way to go on getting POTM. I totally agree with everyone! You so deserve it! Here are my answers for the current roll call. 1. Who has been your biggest supporter in your WLS journey? My family and friends 2. Who has been the most negative in your WLS journey? Cant say I havent had anyone that means anything to me be negative about it. Someone overheard at the gym that I had it done as they were passing by and made the comment that "I took the easy way out" (didnt even know who she was) 3. Any big plans for the weekend? Need to go clothes shopping since summer is almost over and get new clothes for fall and winter. I am going to have a quiet weekend since Chris (new guy I am seeing) has his kids this weekend. (havent met them yet- too soon) but have some projects I need to get done. 4. What has been the worst protein supplement product you tried? cant say I have any bad ones yet. Have a great weekend everyone! Maybe I will be able to catch up on all the posts I have missed. Suzette

Good Morning Ronna! I actually have a few minutes this morning to do roll call! 1. Who has been your biggest supporter in your WLS journey? I have a lot of friends and family who are supportive, but no body that was REALLY supportive. 2. Who has been the most negative in your WLS journey? my dad didn't want me to do it, but wasn't negative about it at all, now he tells me how proud he is....my husband has definitely been the least supportive, but not so much with words. His actions are what bothers me, like how inconsiderate he was to eat all my favorite things while i was still on liquids right in front of me! 3. Any big plans for the weekend? my dad and my daughter and I are going to Saratoga Race Track on Sunday! 4. What has been the worst protein supplement product you tried? most of the ones I have tried were nasty, but I don't do protien supplements much at all-my dr. doesn't want us to. Have a great day everyone! Karyn

I forgot to answer my own question Here's my answer to number 4. Stacker 2 Protein Water. It was awful It tastes very medicinal and even with lots of ice and even mixing in Crystal Lite it took me all day just to drink one 20oz bottle. It was foul

That is indeed quite nasty. I had forgotten about it... maybe I blocked it from my memory! Still my answer stands, but I would say that Stacker Protein Water is up there in the nasty supplement list.

Good Morning, Ronna! 1. Who has been your biggest supporter in your WLS journey? I think that would have to be my husband...he has been incredibly supportive and compliments me all the time. Well, he always used to compliment me but now the compliments are...more graphic. 2. Who has been the most negative in your WLS journey? Hmm...I guess I would have to say my sister...although she is getting better. She has a weight problem, herself, and big jealousy issues (always) so I know it is killing her to see my success. But she has been asking me more and more about how I am doing so I guess she is coming around. 3. Any big plans for the weekend? Nah...just the same old. I am going to visit my gran in the nursing home, do the laundry, clean the house, vacuum the pool...fun stuff! But...my buddy is coming over and I get to spend two full days with my boy so weekends are NEVER bad! 4. What has been the worst protein supplement product you tried? Oh, hell...ALL of them! I have hated each and every single one I have tried. I just now gagged down a Profect vial. Honestly, if I had to do more than 5 sips of protein (which is how many sips it takes me to finish a Profect), I just could not do it. BLECH! Have a great day, everyone!

Good questions! 1. My biggest supporter has been my wonderful hubs. He's such a great guy! He's been right there with me through not just the surgery, but the OCD that comes with daily life afterwards. LOL. And now he's involved in the plastics part coming up and very very supportive of that, also (but he HAS requested a voice in the matter of the new size of the "girls".) 2. My sister -- she was very negative about the original wls and has scrutinized my every move since then. And now that I'm going forward with researching plastics, she's extremely negative about that, also. 3. My plans for the weekend are just to finish up school shopping with my kids. They are with their father for the month of July, so we don't get to even begin shopping until the weekend before school starts, usually. 4. The worst protein supplement I've had -- there's 2 of them. The strawberry flavored IsoPure was horrid -- made me want to gag even looking at the jug. The Atkins RTD Strawberry shakes are pretty bad, too. They have an aftertaste that sits in the back of my throat. Lisa

1. Who has been your biggest supporter in your WLS journey? My mom Who just had here WLS recently! 2. Who has been the most negative in your WLS journey? I have a brother who is supportive in that he thinks its a personal choice, but he would NEVER choose it for himself and was pretty clear about it. He will never be obese, so he doesn't understand. And he is generally narrow minded. So though he is adament that it is a bad choice, I don't really care, because I know he is short sighted on the whole issue 3. Any big plans for the weekend? My friends are visiting from home So we are going to do all the DC touristy stuff (monuments, capitol, smithosonians, etc). 4. What has been the worst protein supplement product you tried? A generic "vanilla" soy powder I got at a local grocery store. It was literally like drinking chalk and water.

Mary, How's your mom doing since surgery??

Aw, thank you for asking Kay... she is doing well... she had VSG like me and is having a hard time mentally with the liquid diet (nothing but liquids for 3 weeks post-op)... but other than that she is healthy and has had no complications thus far... I also think she is gaining a whole new respect for me in this as well... just because now she knows how truly hard it is. Where as before, she only saw the good results (I would complain about the bad stuff too, but until you live it, its hard to really understand... people see the weightloss and don't know what goes on "behind the sceens"). Anyway, I am happy for her and I am so greatful we can be doing this together, its been quite the experience for us both
