Wow Wow Moment

Today our school district had an inservice for all of it's employees. Ron Clark, whose new movie about him teaching in inner-city Harlem debuted last night on TNT, was our guest speaker. Matthew Perry plays him in the movie. He is a Disney Teacher of the Year, has been on Oprah several times, and is author of a best selling book, The Essential 55. He is a very dynamic speaker. I got to sit next to him before he spoke! I felt honored. He is a really neat educator and is opening a new school in inner city Atlanta in January to educate kids w/ learning problems and behavior problems. He says by the time they graduate, they will have visited all 7 continents. Anyway, I felt important at the meeting. Ciao, Karla

how inspiring--I start back to school next week and I'm definitely feeling un-motivated and un-inspired--I've just sooooo enjoyed my summer break this year.... anyhow--so glad to know you had such a great inservice! Cathy
