Pounds Lost???

Can we do a poll on pounds lost since surgery, My surgery was 1/20/06 and I have lost about 80 lbs., and now I am at a standstill. Thanks all, Rosemary

Hi Rosemary! My surgery was 4 days after you..as of five weeks ago, Ive lost 80 pounds as well since the surgery itself. I had a very slow start the first three months but suddenly dropped 34 pounds in five weeks for my fiftth month checkup.....I only get weighed at the surgeon's office but I suspect that Im down more yet....I wont know til Sept 18th now. Dont worry..your body is just adjusting to its new level and will drop again. My family doctor told me that with the pattern of weightloss I had after surgery, that it was proof that my body was VERY resistant to change! Well it doesnt surprise me at all...my metabolism has always been very slow..why wouldnt it still be slow AFTER surgery! BUT slow and steady wins the race! *s*..we just have to be patient! Nancy B

My surgery was on 1/23/06 and I have lost 112 lbs. since surgery. I started at 337 and as of this morning, weigh 225.0. Yeah! I have recently been on a stall, and the scale seems to have finally started moving again. I had a slow couple of weeks or so. Karla
