Hi Rosemary!!!!!! I still have to do them, or else I wouldn't have enough protein either. I enjoy Slim Fast's Low Carb Diet shake- it has twenty grams of protein where its High Protein flavor only has 15. WEIRD!
As far as Bars- I like Luna and the Atkins Chocolate Chip... if you freeze them, they're even better! YUM!!!!!!

I still have trouble eating dense food...Rufus, my pouch, is simply too picky! So this means its hard for me to get in enough protein without using the protein powders and bars.
My breakfast every morning is a protein shake made with skim milk.
Ive tried so many kinds and hate most of them...Rufus is just too hard to please.
However, I can make a protein shake w/o powders...I use one and a half cups of skim(12 grams of protein) milk, 2 eggs(12 grams of protein), a small container of yogurt(4 grams of protein)= 28 grams of protein ...its like an eggnog! I use Omega fat eggs too which have the GOOD fats .
I also use Weider's protein powder in Pineapple Splash and Peach Mango...and Whey Gourmet in Chocolate, Creamsicle and Strawberry/Banana. With the powder and skim milk, it's easy to get in 30 grams of protein in one drink.
I dislike most all protein bars except lately I found "Zone Perfect" w/ 15 grams of protein or CLIFF bars which actually DO taste like an chewy oatmeal cookie.
Its all trial and error, hun..we all like different things..sadly, Rufus is a real pain most times.

I use Isopure Zero Carb Creamy Vanilla and make a shake most days, but not all. I don't like most protein bars, and the only ones I've found are Luna Peppermint/Choc. that I like, which I can only buy in Houston, 60 miles away. I eat other ones, but you can get a lot of protein through cottage cheese if you like it. I bought a new bar yesterday at Walmart my cousin recommended. If I like it, I'll post it.

These are the protein supplements that I use on a regular (or semi-regular) basis:
Powders*:
Nectar- Fuzzy Navel (mix w/ diet ocean spray citrus), Cappuccino (carb countdown chocolate milk), Carribean Cooler (Tropical Fruit2-0)
Champion Pure Whey Stack- Chocolate (carb countdown chocolate milk, banana chunks, peanutbutter)
Protein Delite- Verry Berry Vanilla (vanilla carb control yogurt and ice)
(*I mix almost all my drinks with spmething else, mixed with just h2o they have a strong protein flavor that I can't handle, I put what I mix them with next to the flavors)

Power Crunch Bar- Tripple Chocolate
Pure Protein Bar- Smores and P'butter

Without protein powder, I would not get my 75 grams a protein a day. My favorite protein is Nectar.. Cappiccuno flavor. If you like cappiccuno's or coffee, you would love it. Add it to coffee and you really cant taste the protein. It's yummy!! I have one everyday, sometimes twice. I'm trying to EAT breakfast and have it for snacks so my calories will go up. Slim fast low carb and Adkins shakes are also yummy.
The only protein bars I like are Power Crunch Bars and a good snack is Qsmart bars.

I still use them. I usually have a shake for lunch most days. I use the Low Carb Isopure in Dutch Chocolate and mix it with the Hoods Calorie Control Chocolate Milk (you think I like chocolate much:hah
. I put in some crushed ise and zap it in my Magic Bullet and it makes a great thick Chocolate Milkshake
I also like Qsmart Bars in the Chocolate Peanutbutter and Luna Bars Chocolate Peppermint Stick or Carmel Nut Brownie.



I have a few things I do for protein, I do the Atkins Advantage shake just about every single morning 18g protein. I drink an Isopure Premix bottle just about everyday 40 grams of protein and I try and eat cheese and chicken often for added protein. 3 oz of grilled chicken that i love is about 19 g of protein. The daily total for me is about 90 grams or so of protein. Sometimes if I'm feeling like I need something sweet and filling I will have a Zone Perfect Bar that has 16g of protein in it too. MMM Chocolatey!

Power crunch bars are delish, so are Luna bars chocolate peppermint stick--I do protein shakes about 2-3 times per week and I just ordered a bunch of samples to try from Vita-lady---- I also really like the Vitamin Shoppe pudding (powdered packets) that MM turned me on to----super easy and 25 grams of pro!!!!
