Did WLS add years to your life?
I took this test online at www.realage.com
Basicly they ask you about 30 questions about everything from education to exercise. Based upon your answers they will email you with what your "real age" is. I chose to take the test twice...the first time I put in my preop weight, diet, and exercise levels. Then I took the test again and put all my current info. I got a pleasant surprise. I am 27.2 years old. My preop "real age" was 31 years old...I was 3.8 years OLDER than I really was. My post op "real age" is 23.3...I am now 3.9 years YOUNGER than what I really am. So since surgery I have added 7.7 years to my life. Pretty cool huh?
Dawn
The same happened to me. I tiook the test preop and it said my real age was 58.9 and I had just turned 53
I took it again about a month ago and now it says my real age is 51.3. Quite an improvement.
And I truly believe that if I hadn't had thhis surgery that I would not have made it to age 55. I was in a chair just waiting to die and it was going to happen and happen soon.
So yes, WLS has added years to my life
