A wowza moment
After my complaining post, I thought I would mention something wonderful that happened today...
I was in Banana Republic with a girlfriend who needed something. She was taking forever and I picked up a pair of non-stretch khaki pants in a size 12. I thought "I will just go try these on to see how far I have to go". They were too big!
What?! I could not believe it... I have been in a 14 from LB for a while now, so I was shocked that a regular store 12 fit...
I did not buy them though
My tummy maybe able to fit in normal clothes, but my short legs are still a problem. The pants were about 10" too long for me
It was a bit motivating as well
Just thought I would share... tell me what YOUR recent wow moments have been???

Good for You! Those shopping expereinces are interesting for me. I went to JC Penney yesterday with my mother and daugher to do a little browseing. I need a new winter coat this year- donated all my older size 4x/32 size coats this summer. I live in Minnesota so a winter coat is as important as water! I tried on a 2x - too big, then a 1x- fit fine and acturally purchased a coat in a regular store at a great sale price!
It's funny how I love to go shopping at regular stores but always fear things won't really fit - like all this weight will magically come back and this is just a dream. I'm still a long way from "slim" but just keep on truckin'.
Get to the petites and celebrate !!!

Congratulations on the size 12's. That's Amazing
My legs are very short too so I understand what your going through!
My latest wow moment..
I usually wear a simple jeans and Tshirt to school. Well the other day, I wanted to wear my blue one but it was dirty (size 3X, thats too big but comfy) so I looked in steph's closet and decided to try on her XL.. IT FIT!!!!
I have not worn an XL since probably middle school.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

One night I spent the night at my boyfriends but didn't have any pjs, so I wore an old t-shirt of his and his shorts....and they were wayyyyyy too big. He wasn't a big guy....average size. I remember when I was bigger I would be too embarassed to ask anyone to wear anything because I thought I wouldn't even be able to wear oversized men's clothes! It felt good...i felt.....normal.
