Monday Roll Call!
1~ Have you started Your Christmas shopping?
Well actually I have bought only 1 present so far. For Isaiah!
2~ What do you plan on doing differently for Thanksgiving dinner this year?
Since we will have a brand new kitchen this year I plan on cooking a great feast. But I also plan on eating only a little bit.
3~ If you lied on your drivers license, are you getting closer to that weight or do you weigh less now?
I weigh less! But I did lie the whole time I was over weight on my license.
Dana

1.) No, but I should... I have many to shop for and not enough time. Christmas is in 55 days I think.
2.) I am going on a trip for Thanksgiving (with friends, not family) and thus we won't be doing the traditional meal. We are going to Savannah GA for fun.
3.) I so lied. I said I was 250 when I was 360. I passed 250 months ago

MORNING ALL!
1~NO, I always wait til the last minute.
2~For Thanksgiving I will probably cook a boneless breast, honey ham with pineapples and no stuffing or maybe a tiny amount. I always in the past would have tons of stuffing with mashed potatoes and gravy and dip hawaiin rolls in them. Go figure not this year, I will try to stick to the protein.
3~Yes, I sure did lie my DL says 300 when I weighed 360 and now I am 290 or so.
Have a good day all!
~Norma~

2.I What do you plan on doing different for Thanksgiving ?
( I am making a sf pumpkin pie and may just do away with the spirel ham all together other than that it will be the same)

3~ If you lied on your drivers license, are you getting closer to that weight or do you weigh less now? I weigh less...i put 205 on my license...i'm at 171 now.
April

I swear I'm the only greedy as hell gastric bypass patient. I still enjoy food! I just know how to eat better. Kay....I'm greedy
! That's what my best friend always tells me anyway. See, before I would eat everything like I would never see it again or never have the opportunity to eat it again. Now, I have a bite then move on with my life
. And if I don't think it's a good time to eat it, then I'll save it and take it on home or share it with someone. I used to be scared of food up until 2-3 months ago, but not anymore. I feel so "normal" in the sense that I eat what a normal person my size would eat. I don't get bent outta shape if I eat a cookie or some chips, and I don't call them "bad foods". I allow myself to a treat once in a blue, but when I see myself getting a little outta control...I put myself in check. Or try to anyway
. It's so easy to have food issues, so I try my hardest to not have any!And I feel sorry for those who deal with them, because I know it's hard. But girl....I'm eatin' on Thanksgiving!
April

April, your a trip! You say the same things my surgeon says to me. He wants me to get the "diet" concept out of my head and eat normal. I still beat myself up over carbs, good food and still have not tried anything sweet since surgery.
I guess I'll get over it one day. I'm just scared of being the size I use to be.
But I'm with you.. I'm eatin' good for the holidays!
Kay
You aren't the only greedy WLS patient! I'm greedy too! But hey I didn't have this surgery to live life differently than everyone else. And pretty much I can eat whatever I want. So now my goal is to just maintain! So I plan on eating on Thanksgiving also. A bit of everything!!!! Enjoy it girl!
