OMG! This is really happening!

Good afternoon all my January Buddies My surgery is in 8 days and I feel like I want to scream!! I'm going to Stand out on the balcony of my apartment and yell..." I only have 8 days til surgery"... LOL It's like my brain is moving fast but on the outside I'm trying to stay calm! Is anyone having this weird feeling too? Am I the only one here? I'm not really nervous just anxious and excited. Last night I went to walmart and got my vitamins, B-12, Gas X, food scale and new measuring cups. I couldn't find liquid stool softner. Too much info huh? Well it was on my list from my surgeon. I also got a few things to pack in my over night bag. I will probably go grocery shopping in a few days. How close are you to your date? How do you feel today? Nervous, excited, scared? Sorry for the rambeling post but I am in overdrive today. Please let me know I'm not the only one. Take Care and dont laugh at me too much Kay

Kay Honey, I'm just 24 hours form surgery. I'm lucky that my surgeon and hospital are less than 10 miles from my home. I know the feeling of OMG!! I feel like I did the day before my wedding, a mix of excited and nervous but over all calm because I KNOW I'm making the right choice. Robin

Hi there! Well I am officially 12 days away from my surgery and I cant believe it is actually going to happen-I was nervous yesterday when I got my mail because there was a letter from my insurance company, I swear I thought for sure they were sending me a follow up letter to take back my approval, but NOPE it was confirming that my surgery on 1/16 will be covered Yeah!!!! I was so nervous the last few weeks and now I am more excited than anything else to start my life over in so many ways!!! I also got on the scale this morning and the preop diet I put myself on 3 weeks ago is working -Im down 15lbs--yipee I cant wait until 1/16!!!!!! Good luck to everyone else out there who is getting surgery this month and then on--everyone is in my prayers for a quick and speedy recovery Lori

I know I just want to screeeeaamm. Mine is in one week next Wed Jan 11th and I am whole bag of mixed stuff. I am soooo excited. New year, new us !!! This is the first year that I did NOT make a resolution to lose weight !!! How about that?? Going grocery/supply shopping this weekend and having my last (Fat) supper on Sunday. I know just how you feel. I am in 5 days!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited. I sometimes get real emotional I don't know if I should laugh, cry, have a big party........... I am getting everything lined up too. I'll be thinking of you guys. Kathy

Kay, I know where you are coming from. I got 20 days and I am ready to get on with it already. The only good thing right now is I just came down with my winter cold. It is great timing. It should be gone before my preop testing on the 18th. We will get through this! Sandra

Kay, I'm not laughing, I am right there with ya! Last month, just thinking about my upcoming surgery practically would put me into a panic attack but recently, I have been excited...even downright giddy at times! I'm anxious to get on with it! My surgery is Jan. 23rd Chele
