Hello Everyone! Whos here?

Hey all My January Buddies I'm bored and just wanted to stop in to see hows everyone feeling tonight? I know there some surgerys coming up and everyones excited, scared and nervous. I'm proud of everyone for stepping up and taking control of their health. Today I had my last and final appointment with my surgeon before surgery. I have to start all my vitamins and 2 protein shakes a day tomorrow. I lost 2 more pounds so thats a total of 62 lbs. So everyone come in and say hello, let us know how your feeling tonight! What did you do today? Shop? Doctors Appointments???? Kay

Hello, I am working tonight so have lots of time to sit and ponder... 18 days and counting ha ha I have been frustrated with my step son, he came into our lives again right at christmas and ruined the holidays. He is moving out tomorrow, God willing, and will finally get it right.. He is 26 going on 16. I have not had time to focus on me or my house, everyone just ignores what I am going through and I have no one to talk to who truely understands. I lost 10 lbs. over the holidays. I am not sleeping for beans, so i take on night shifts and sleep hard for 4-5 hrs in the morning. I am still tired all day. It goes so fast and yet seems to drag on. Any friends or out there I am in great need. Deborah

Deborah I'm sorry your having some issues with your step son. If you need a place to vent, just post and let it all out. We all undersand what your going through. We are here to support you! I dont have a step son but I have a hard headed brother that causes problems. Congrats on the 10 lbs. Its a start to a new you! Take Care Kay 8 more days til surgery!

Good evening Kay! Awesome pre-op weight loss! I've been doing some studying and shopping today, so I've had a pretty boring and uneventful afternoon. Three more days to go!! ~Jen

Hey Kay!!! Well today I got my vitamins (optisource) and I got some children's tylenol (I heard from another alabama friend who had surgery in november to mix this with pain meds). I talked to my doctor and he said children's liquid tylenol is true- that the liquid pain medicine is sooooooo nasty. Just a head's up for you all. Wish you all lots of luck! Sleep well. WOW Kay, great job on the preop weight loss...you should breeze thru it after surgery... I am surprised that you had to loss weight before though, my surgeon didn't require that? Is that odd?

well I got my new computer today so I can post on here more now. I got my preop appt today I go in on the 17th for that and surgery on the 23rd. I am so excited for everyone that is getting so close. Deborah I just want to say I am sorry you are going through it with your step son. email me if you ever want to chat sometime. I have a 19 yearold step daughter that has caused a lot of problems in my life including my recent divorce...so I know what you are going through. Kay...great job on the weight loss. I am starting my diet tomorrow...2 protein shakes and 1 high protein meal...no snacks. I have to lose 10 pounds before surgery. Ann...I thought all Dr. required some weight loss but I guess it depends on how the proceedure is being done? and what the Dr. preferences are. Ann My surgeon did not require me to loose weight before surgery either. When I stepped on the scale and it read 450, I decided to loose weight on my own. I wanted to be as healthy as possible for surgery. I also wanted to get my BMI down. My surgeon never once said loosing weight was nessassary. I'm happy I did it because I feel so much better already. Take Care Kay 7 days til surgery

Hey Kay, I wish I had your enthusiasm. I can't help but smile everytime I read one of your post. I am hoping I soon will get the feeling o*******n instead of this nervousness I am having. A big Congratulations on all that pre-op weight loss you have achieved. Way to go girl!!! I go for my last appointment with the surgeon on the 9th, and still have pre-op to go, but the hospital hasn't called me yet to schedule that. Guess it's still too early for them. I haven't done any kind of shopping yet, but guess I will after my visit to the doctors on tuesday. Then I will have a list of things I will need pre-op and post-op. Well, guess this is all for now.
