Hello everyone I got home yesterday afternoon!! THANK GOD! The surgery was a success. No problems. He found 3 gallstones so took out my galblader. OMG the pain was awful. The first two nights, I wanted someone to just knock me out til it was over. The first time I ate, I got sick from some Pureed stuff ! EWWWW. Then I did liquids for two days after that episode. When I got home yesterday, I blended some hormel chili. After 5 small bites i felt stuffed but it tasted so good. It stayed down good. I haven't had a chance to read all the emails I got when I was gone but I will soon. Thank you guys so much! It means so much. I still feel a little tired so I'm going to rest and sip on my SF peach tea. Thanks again!!! Kay

Welcome home, Kay! Know that every day gets better and better and we're here right along with you. Go slow with food, I have a liquid diet for the first week and am actually thankful, I feel like my insides have more time to heal and food is not really too interesting right now.... I'm a big advocate of those cat naps, too. Walking is even better. Give a shout if you need to chat. ~Tiffany

Hi Kay, Welcome home! It is so much better at home & relaxing. Keep up the good work. I'm on pureed food right now for a month then I progress to soft food. I keep sipping away at my water throughout the day. That is the hardest part. Take care & keep us posted. Carly

Hi Kay, So glad to see you post and know that you are home and seem to be doing well. I too have to have my gallbladder out. Surprised that you are allowed to eat pureed food so soon, especially chili...not exactly mild food....lol. Please keep us posted on your weightloss progress. I am soon to be on the losing side as well, I have to be at the hospital at 6 a.m Tuesday, so will leave home around 4-4:30 in the morning. Am finally over the "making me sick, can't eat anything nervousness" now I'm not sure what I feel. Don't push yourself too hard but be sure to get plenty of rest and get your walking in as well. Remember to keep us posted. Take care, Hugs, Deb H.

Welcome home Kay, Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon. I think I'm having my gallbladder out also. I had a hid-a-scan & they found polyps on it. Hopefully the surgeon will remove it so I won't have to go through a second surgery somewhere down the road. I wonder if you're hurting so much because of the gallbladder plus the wls. Hurry & get better. Keep us updated on your progress. Kathy R Open RNY Jan 24
