What do you do when it hurts to drink water. Yesterday it wasn't so bad to drink. Today my stomach really cramps even with tht littlest sips. If I drink other liquid i.e. milk or juice can it count towards my 48 oz of water. If you found something that did not hurt your pouch when water did - please email me and let me know what it is and where it can be purchased.

For me, tea worked better than water, juice gave me gas (remember to dilute it to half-n-half). Make it weak and just lukewarm. Hope that helps and yes, I think that other liquids do count bu****er itself is important. The tea that worked best for me is Aveda's calming tea - its a licorice/peppermint which is $13. I think its only available at their stores or websites, maybe a salon. But it was absolutely the easiest thing to drink and made my tummy exceptionally happy.

Hi Jen! Water is a bit heavy for me too. I put some Crystal Lite in it and for some reason, it's fine. I buy the generic Wal Mart brand as its cheaper and I find it a bit less sweet. Good luck! *~*Jaci*~*

I was a huge water drinker before surgery. Now I cant stand the taste. I know water has no taste but It makes me gag The only way I can drink it is put the little packs of Sugar Free Kool Aid in them. My mom bought me a get well care basket basket and it had Walmart brand of SF Kool Aid packs for bottled water. The peach tea is the best! My dietician told me that crystal light, flavored water, propel, SF Kool aid, decaf tea count as water Good luck kay

Warm tea seems to be the consensus. I am trying to as much water as possible but I find it fills me to an uncomfortable level. I think with time we will like it more and it will be gentler on our tummies! Best wishes deb
