Tangerines?

Hello my Janaury family, Has any post op eaten any citrus fruit. I am in desperate need of a citrus fix and wondering if anyone has dared yet. Deb

My surgeon says No citrus fruit for 6 months because of the tough flesh. I love tangerines and navel oranges, they were a staple in my pre op diet. Good luck with trying it. kay

My dr. said no too. Reason: The acid in the citrus fruit can irratate your pouch. I too love citrus of anykind and this part is hard for me but I don't want to do any damage. I did find that the Halls Vitamin C is a has a good taste to it and they are low in surgar and carbs. They might help with the craving. Good luck! Dana

I'll back up what the others say and add that the stringy flesh could be a problem for the pouch. Definately go for some sugar free candies instead.
