Hi everyone, I'm bad at posting but belive meI read it all.... I have a problem though, I try to get my protein in and by doing that, there is absolutly no room left for anything extra, no veggies, no fruit, no starch. This is what I ate today. B 1 slice of FF bologna, 1 bite of crab meat S 1 protein drink L 1 protein bar S 1 protein drink D 1/4 cup spagetti sause with 2oz FF dry milk and 1 oz of FF mozarella cheese, couldn't finish more than half late snack, plannning to get maybe some SF popsicle drink 3 glasses of crystal light My nut have told me not to eat more than 3 times a day plus the protein drinks. I really start missing fruit, but as I said there is no room. What do you guys do?

I'm struggeling with protein too. My nut said something a little different. She said to have your protein supplements BETWEEN meals, do not count them AS meals. Either way, the mix I have, I have to drink 24oz to get 60 grams. That is just NOT happening. I went to a local health food store today and bought liquid protein. It is 15 grams in every 2 tablespoons. It tastes like death, but at least I am getting in my protein. Hope that helps ya. Love, Dawn

I'll say it again!!!!!!! I really like the Isopure premixed in the glass bottles. They are 20oz and have 40grams of protein. They come in all kinds of fruit flavors, my favorite is Alpine Punch. I mix it with Crystal Lite Lemonade and it goes down really easy and adds to my fluid count It's a bit pricey but well worth the cost to make sure I get my protein in without having to worry about it. Some days I only need 1/2 a bottle but others I use the whole bottle throughout the day. Regards and hugs, Ronna

I agree with Dawn...my nutritionist says to try to drink protein shakes between meals. Give it a shot! There are different types...Isopure, Prostat64, etc. I'm not sure about the fruit, as I'm not there yet (still doing clear liquids until Friday when I see my surgeon). Good luck! Chele

Hi I'm having the same problem. Once I eat my protein, I have no room for anything else. There is no way I can eat protein and a vegtable. I'm having a hard enough time getting in my water because I'm still full after a meal. I want to eat balanced meals but right now I cant. After a 1/4 c. or less of purred tuna or whatever protein I eat, I'm stuffed. I dont see how people are getting in 50 oz of water plus 60 grams of protein. My nut said drink protein drinks between meals too but I drink it for breakfast instead. If I ate breakfast then before lunch drank a shake, I'd be sick. I'm trying to do right but afraid I'm doing it wrong... So much to learn! Kay

Here's a shout out for NECTAR. only 8 oz at a time. 3 servings and you have 72 grams of protein for the day! Then fill in with other items. I start my nectar first thing in the morning and it actually gets me moving. Light and fruity tasting (especially the fuzzy navel) ::hugs:: Cyndi

I am trying carnation instant breakfast ( O carb one) with 8 oz of fat free milk with 1/2 a scoop of Body Fortress Whey protein powder. Mix in blender. I place ice in mine. Tastes great!! I get the chocolate powder as well as carnation instant breakfast. Total protein is 22 grams. I have just began to dring two a day since mt surgery last week. I feel so full. I may try to bump up the prtein powder to one full scoop, which is 20 gms, yet I think I am doing ok at the moment. They want me to drink at least 3 shakes a day. I am trying, yet hard. Next week I can have cottage cheese, yes..lol.. Can't wait. Good luck. You can buy protein powder at Walmart. Andrea
