G tube is another name for feeding tube. My surgeon has one in my belly right under my left breast. I put protein and water in it daily. He does it to prevent dehydration. It has to stay in for 6 weeks. I have only seen a few people with them in as well. I think its only the ones that have Open RNY.

First time posting since having surgery 5 days ago. I was discharged from the hospital on stage 2 diet. I really have no appetite. B: 1/4 cup of plain fat free yogurt with one added spenda packet and a tablespoon of protein powder 1/2 cup sugarfree orange jello L: oops.. today I actually got some sleep..woke up late and just ate dinner after walking the local grocery store with my husband for 49 minutes. I was tired after that. D: 2 tablespoons of Strawberry creamcheese ate of the spoon 2 tablespoons of mashed avocado 1 store bought sugarfree carmel pudding by Jello with 2 tablespoons of added protein powder Does anyone else just feel like they are not hungary? It is a chore to eat. I'm suppose to be on a stage 2 diet until my stitches are taken out February 14, 2006.

Welcome to my post Suzan! Most days I feel like eating is a chore. I eat because I have to. I'm still on pureed foods til the 9th. My surgeon made me do pureed for 4 weeks. I'm never hungry anymore. Just thirsty. I'm sure this will pass. Good Luck Kay
