I thought about not answering this, but alas, I should be responsible for what I ate today. Needless to say, today was the WORST food day so far in all of my PostOp days. I had a bit of an emotional breakdown after eating all this today and have vowed to start fresh again tomorrow. NO MORE SNACKING FOR ME! Here it is: B: Slept in L: 1/4c. chilli w/ no beans topped with a slice of cheader S: (by snack, I mean ate througout the time between lunch and diner- aka grazed) 2 bites of a bannana muffin, 1-2 oz turkey pepperoni, 1 oz deli turkey, 1 oz cheese, 1 TBS Peanut Butter D: Small ground turkey patty with thick slice of pepper jack cheese melted on top S: 4 oz. Carb Control Vanilla Yogurt Whew, there it all is in black and white. The evilness of grazing. I can not believe I let myself eat all that. The good news is I also got in all my vitamins/calcium for the day. I am still working on my water. On the weekends I stay up pretty late (till like 2am) so I have a while longer to go, I should get in most of my fluids, I am at 45 oz now (its only 8:30)

While I agree that grazing can be harmful to us, what you wrote does not seem that excessive. I had the same thought on what I wrote but was not as forthcoming in my declaration. One suggestion that I am also trying: key everything into fitday.com and see the numbers. The numbers will tell and be honest. This is especially important as we all have lifetimes of eyeballing things and as the saying goes, our eyes are bigger than our stomachs! Even if we key in on days when we feel the intake was excessive, it can help us evaluate. Personally, I think you (and I) are moving into more real foods and it just seems like a lot after weeks of broth, jello and tea. Looking at your menu today, does it still feel excessive to you? Or is it a behavioural issue that is frustrating you? I'm going thru the same questions to myself so I hope you dont mind me putting out these thoughts.... Tiffany
