In Trouble with OH

Okay so someone told OH that I was doing copy right infringement on those little 10 faulty thinking posts, even though they were in quotes. So OH won't let me post them, although I see people post all type of copyrighted information and no problem. So I wrote to OH and didn't get a response back and I think that sucks! So anyway if you want the last 4 items which are Pipe Dreaming, Gut-Level Reasoning, Self-Downing & Poor Me Thinking, please email me and I will send you a copy in quotes with the author name and book name, so that you can have them. Email me at [email protected] I'm flaming right now because someone couldn't just come to me and talk to me about this directly and that OH is ignoring my email to them. I figure it this way, if you don't like what someone is posting, don't read it. It's not like I was putting out *****r vulgar information, or information that would cause someone to do something wrong. Oh well, maybe I am just not cut out for the politics of a huge message board system. Maybe I'm better off with a little circle of friends who can be honest with each other and support each other no matter what. ::hugs:: Cyndi

CYNDI, No comment!!! I would really appreciate the email. I rather enjoyed the information. Politics don't stop at saying the pledge of alegence in school and having "Christmas" festivities anymore huh? I agree people should just not do the things that offend them. I don't complain about people who spit on the sidewalk, but I think I am going to start LOL! Kristie

Cyndi: It is too bad but OH could get in trouble with Dr Phil for posting his work without reproduction rights. Its a big legal issue and sad to say but they were correct asking you to stop - but its too bad they wont write you back to at least discuss the situation. Its not politics its legal issues pertaining to copyrights, the same type of deal with downloading music without paying for it. Those who create the work deserve to be paid and credited. What was posted was in violation of the law and this is outlined in every post, one before the last bullet in the terms and conditions. Sorry to be the one supporting OH but I do a lot of legal work and thought an explaination from that perspective might help ease the frustration. And I surely was not the one who said anything; these types of sites have people who go thru and read the posts daily to ensure legal issues dont occur.

It'a a shame that they won't let you post them anymore. I think the rules of copying and posting information from other sources protects you and OH. But I don't see why they couldn't simply ask you to post a source link though. It makes no sense to forbid the posts altogether. People copy information from other sources all the time and post them here. Maybe OH is just now cracking down on it and you happened to be one of the first they came to.
