Okay guys, On so many of these posts I see ya'll referring to have eaten "1/2 cup of..." "3 OZ of..." "quarter cup of..." Are you all actually measuring and weighing everything you put in your mouths or are you guesstimating? I don't weigh or measure anything. Shoud I? I eat till I am no longer hungry then I stop. I never know how much or how many calories .

I don't measure a single thing. I eyeball and guesstimate. Its the reason WW and other diets never worked. I just don't have the patience or the time to weigh and measure. I get a rough idea and work off of that. My doc also told me not to worry about calories right now and to concentrate on my protein. HTH! Beth

Hi Valerie, I was told me to measure everything so I do. It is easy and that way I know exactly what I'm eating. Carly

Valerie, I use these handy bowls from pampered chef: http://www.pamperedchef.com/our_products/catalog/product.jsp?productId=9792&categoryCode=KW Not only can they go in the freezer, microwave, and oven; they have measurements on the side up to one cup. They have lids too!! Anyway, it's easy to measure what you eat when the bowl you eat out of has the measurement right on it. Dawn

I Measure everything I put in my mouth including liquids. My Nut said to measure because as time goes on we will be able to eat more and you dont want to risk overeating. What does your Nut say about measuring? Kay

I measure too. You need to know how much you are taking in, you don't want to overload your pouch. Good luck on your journey. Hugs, Lynda

I meausure, but sometimes it is a estimate. Most things I eat come in one or two serving packages though... so I know if I eat 1/2 the cottage cheese container it is 4 oz, or if I eat 1/2 the chicken strips it is 3 oz, since they come in a 6 oz bag. I also track my food on fitday.com- which is something new I started since I have been on a LONG stall and my nut thinks I need to be intaking much more protein... this way I know EXACTLY where my food is going if I run into any more problems I can report accurately on what I have been eating.
