Ok girls~ Have any of you had your period since surgery? Was it on time? I had my surgery on the 16th, but I got my period on the 12th. According to www.mymonthlycycles.com I should have gotten my period on the 9th. I know I am not pregnant because we use protection. I just get frustrated when it's not on time. Dawn

I had my surgery was on 1-23 and I was not due for another period until 2-9. My period came on 1-28, about 12 days early. ????? I just figured that my body was in shock and out of wack due to the surgery. I am sure that I will be back on schedule in a few months. CMP

Hi Dawn, I last got my period on January 9th for like 2 days and have not gotten it yet. I didn't resume my birth control pills yet & not having sex so I know I'm not pregnant. I think my body is still in shock, oh well I can't complain. Take Care, Carly

I had an ablation and Essure implant on January 4, about 3 weeks before my RNY surgery. I was on my period at the time and haven't had one since. I'm still chewing up my BC pills every morning, so I'm not worried about it, just figured my body had been through a lot over the last couple of months and would work itself out.

I haven't had a period since the last day of November 05! That was the first cycle I had since May of 04 (when I became pregnant with my twins, born Dec04)...and I was nursing up until October 05. I don't know if my body just hasn't regulated since stopping nursing or because of my PCO (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Toss the WLS in there and my body is whacked out! Chele

I have PCOS so I am very irregular in getting a period. . . . Except, of course, when I least need it. I had my surgery on 1/16/06 and got my period on 2/5. Who knows, I though after surgery that it would not come for awhile??? God Bless! Jen

I had surgery on 1/16 and was due on 1/19 and it came on time, however my next one is due tomorrow and Im hoping it starts on time--I have always gotten it like clockwork so I really dont want to worry about being late now--my friend who had surgery last year said after her surgery she didnt get her cycle for 2 months--everyones different so Ill see tomorrow if my friend comes for the visit

Well I am a little jealous. I had mine the week before surgery. Had surgery on 1/4 and then spotted for an entire month. According to my doc having your period whacked out is normal after any kind of major surgery. But if you are worried I would call my obgyn. Beth
