I've only lost 17 pounds. Is this normal? It seems a lot of people are losing more. I'm trying not to get discouraged and a slave to the scale but of course that's what I'm doing. I'm getting my water in but the protein is a big, big struggle. I walk about 1 mile 3x a week. Thanks for the input in advance!

Yeah I've been wondering the same thing. It is probably nothing we're doing wrong. I'm sure our body is still in shock. At least I hope that is all it is.

I feel like everyday is a chore. My nut says, to eat 6 small meals a day. not to drink anything for 30 minutes after. I can only eat about 2 or 3 ounces at a time. How do I find time for 60 ounces of water? pluss nothing to drink 30-45 mins before laying down. Its too much to try and plan everything out. Elsa

Both of you all are doing fine! My surgery was 5 weeks ago, today, and I have only lost 22 pounds. I am stalling all the time, but I find when I focus on getting in my protein, or up-ing my protein, I get back on track. It is just a learning phase. And most of us here are still learning... Others have told me, too... Remember that if you lost weight before surgery, that could hamper or stall your post-op efforts, too. Another thing... look at sizes, the ones who have more to lose are going to lose a lot more, and faster. Everybody is different, you just have to find what works for you, and run with it! Best Wishes! Angela

Angela, I LOVE what you said about being in a "learning phase"! We are ALL learning and WILL be learning for quite some time. It has been my own experience that the scales move "most" when I am getting in enough protein and water. I would have liked to have been losing a bit faster this past month, also. But I am grateful for what I HAVE lost and looking forward to what I will continue to lose. ~Teri~

I had surgery on 1/19 I went to the dr yesterday and I only lost 18. There were a few others on there 1 month check up and we were around the same. One person lost a lot of weight but she is not feeling well. My nurtitionist said it is around 20-30 pounds at your 1 month

Hello Everyone! Please please please.....listen to what you are saying. 17 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks is AMAZING!!!!!!! You are doing phenonminal..congrats. I know that you all are working so hard and sacrificing so much with the small amt. of food you're eating and the mental struggle accompanied by the hard exersize but ladies.........THAT'S AMAZING. How long did it take to lose 17 lbs before the surgery? I know it's no consolation but i set my goals very reasonable the first month so not to get discouraged. Please don't compare yourself to what others at the top of their class, so to speak, are accomplishing. YOU WILL LOSE THE WEIGHT. You are all doing the right things and will succeed.....matter of fact you are a success right now. Be overwhelmed that you lost an AMAZING 17 LBS IN 2 1/2 WEEKS. Keep up the great work ladies....and men. lol. Andre
