Surgeon Visit- Im Scared!!!
Well... my stall will be a month tomorrow, so I thought that the most *HEALTHY* thing to do was to call in and speak with someone from my surgeons office... I spoke to the same gal I spoke with last week, she said I needed to come in to see the surgeon.
My appointment is tomorrow (Thursday) at 1:30 and I am so nervous!
I guess my biggest fear is that there is actually something physically wrong with me that is preventing this weight loss (thyroid, etc) and it was undetected PreOp.
I am also worried that I will have to have test(s) done, which means they will cost $$$ since I don't think I am covered on my fathers insurance any longer (I just turned 25 and thats when they cut you off, but since we recieved no notice, we think there maybe a grace period?) So that is of concern.
On the same token, I am just as scared that there isn't anything physically wrong with me and that there is something that I am doing wrong and have overlooked! Eeeek, what if this is all my fault.
But I guess in any event, I would rather know now what the hell is up with my body and fix it rather then prolong the inevitable.
So, wish me luck at my appointment, I NEED it!
Give me strength!

Please share your knowledge with us when you get feedback. Good luck with the appointment!
Can you call the insurance company and ask them? That may ease some of your stress.
Take care and best wishes for good news. Hopefully it is something simple that is easily corrected by lifestyle and not medically.

I know the anticipation of your appointment must be nervewracking! The good news is, you are going in to investigate on what is going on. Just think, if it's something relatively simple (like Thyroid, for instance), you take a pill every morning for the rest of your life and have periodic blood tests. (I do this) You're not just hanging around wondering what is going on, you are ON the ball!
I wish you the very best of luck tomorrow. Do let us know what your doc says as I'll be thinking of you!
