Can you help me with my intake #'s?
Hi all~~
I was just wondering if you can tell me the range of calories, fat grams, carbs, and protein grams that you shoot for in a day? My doctor has not really given me a specific range and I want to guage what I am doing against where everyone else is....
Also, as a followup to my post about having issues with vitamins, I got a suggestion from someone with the same dr I have. She says the dr loves these vitamins and she has had great success with them. The ones that she is taking is "GNC WOMENS -- ULTRA MEGA BONE DENSITY". She splits it in half and takes one a day.
Is anyone else drinking "diet" fruit juice? How are you doing with them? I have been drinking the Tropicana Lite OJ -- half calories and sugar. Love mixing it with crushed ice for some extra H2O!! Also, there is a Lite Apple Juice that I am also loving. Also, I am addicted to pickles (kosher dill) -- anyone else??
Everyone is doing so well!! I am really happy for everyone!! I just want this darned stall to pass. It's been 2 weeks now so I am ready for the scale to start moving again!

Im not sure really any intake #s. I know I still stay under 1000 calories. If I even come close to that many. But with anything else, forget it. I do drink that smae tropicana. I love it too. I drink the sugar free Applejuice. I do ok with it, but I still water them both down. Just way to strong if I dont.
I havent had pickles yet. I use to love them. Just no desire yet to have one. But I did just post a recipe for pizza. Try it. It is so good!

I have not been watering down the juices so much but I am going to start.... get in some more water is going to be the key!

I am plugging everything I eat into fitday.com. I'm not counting calories yet but they give them to me. It seems that I eat around 700 a day. I am focusing on the protein and fluid intake. I try and get minimum 60grams of protein and 64oz of fluid a day and most days do it.
I have tried the lite juices and really like the lite white cranberry juice. I can't have too much cause it does raise my blood sugar levels.
Haven't tried pickels yet, but I love them!

My doctor says that for the first 6 weeks I should try to get at a minimum 40g of protein per day. Then there is a chart that I must look at that gauges how much protein a person needs based on their sex and height. For me, 5ft 10in., I need to get in about 65g per day. Currently I fall somewhere between the 40 and the 65. Also, I am being told that I should be getting 64 oz of liquid in per day, including any liquids I drink or eat and the juices and water. I am not getting in 64 oz daily, but at my 2 wk post op appt. she said as long as I don't fall below 32 oz I'm still okay.
As for what I am drinking, I like the plain apple juice, no sugar added, just juice, also, lite cranberry juice (most cranberry juices have some type of sweetener), and white grape juice. I like mixing the apple and the grape with the cranberry to sweeten up the cranberry and tone down the apple. I really don't need it mixed with water though, I haven't had any issues with the natural sugars. I have yet to try any OJ because I thought we were supposed to avoid citrus. Anyone having problems with citrus?
