Hi Kay,
I'm doing good still at wor****il 10 and then the weekend. I haven't been using straws because I hear excess air goes into our pouches. Tomorrow morning I'm going to curves and then going to chill at home.
B-Nothing I slept in
L-1/4 c. of No Salt Added Cottage Cheese
D-Small piece of Lasagna
S-Edge Protein Bar (21 grams)
Water-24 ounces & the usual vitamins
Have a good weekend,
Carly

I used straws right after surgery because it forced me to take small sips and not gulp my water. Don't use them much now though.
B - 3 crackers w/cream cheese
S - 2 small meatballs (we had a party at work, only thing I could eat but they were incredible!!)
L - 3 crackers with tuna
S - 2 "nuggets" with broccoli and cheese - lightly breaded and baked
D - no idea!
Hi ya!
Straws:
I dont think my PostOp guide says either way?
Weekend: I have a chore list for tomorrow
It includes such non-fun tasks as gettin my car smoged, going grocery shopping, and a double work out... yuck. But on Sunday I am going outlet shopping with my girlfriends!!!
Heres what I ate:
F: 3 oz of Carb Countdown Choco Milk
B: 4oz Carb Control Strawberry Yogurt
L: 4 oz Wendys Chili w/ cheese... didn't really like it. Don't see what the hype is over
D: Went to Applebee's and had a grilled chicken sandwhich off the weigh****chers menu- no bun, bbq/ff ranch sauce on the side... which I dipped the chicken in... It was about 3 oz of chicken with some reduced fat cheese melted on top. Fruit on the side (I only ate 1/2 small strawberry and gave the rest away)
S: Plan on having a Carb Solution Shake later w/ some pbutter.
TOTALS (including the yet to be consumed shake):
Cals 656
Fat 29
Carbs 30
Protein 75
Fluids: REALLY BAD
had only about 13oz
but will try to make up for it tonight.
Vits/Calicum: 1/2 done
Excersice: Day off (it was raining and dark by the time I got home)

It is unbelievably cold here in Chicago, its an indoors weekend with some projects I've been meaning to get to. My energy increases every day and I am even getting bored with TV!
B: 1/4 eggbeater with a pinch of cheese; my dog got the second half of it.
L: Went to Harry Carey's again and it was another hard lunch. I tried the lamb burger, ate 3 bites and the goat cheese off the top, about an ounce. I thought it would be tender but it sat like a rock but 2 hours later I was hungry.
D: (early) cheese stick, 4 bites chicken and 5 chunks of grilled zuccini
S: creamy mushroom soup
Thru the day I also had a half bottle of apple melon Isopure and another 40 oz of water, of course, all my vitamins. I abandon the chewable multi's and found a nice capsule. It has higher doses of things, too, so this will be much better for me.
Calcium capsules dont contain that much, you have to take 3 or 4 of them to get the same as one of the Caltrate chewables. I am sooo sick of the chewables so I'll be shopping out options and WLYKWIF.
Have a great weekend!
Tiffany
Kay, When I had surgery on Jan 4th I was told no straws. When I went to his support group last week I was told that further research has been done and no more air is swallowed when using a straw than when not using one. We are now allowed to use straws. I have been doing it anyway since surgery and have had no problem.
B-peanutbutter toast
L-lean pocket (inside) YUK!
D-pintos & cheese
S-2 sugar free popsicles
S- 2nd snack
4 spears canned asperagus (YUMMM)
