I have been eating Oatmeal and grits since I came home and have no problems with them, I just eat the plain oatmeal and add my own cinnamon and splenda to it. I also LOVE grits since I am a southern girl, I like it with salt pepper and cheese!! I havent had any cream of wheat yet, but I think that is just a personal thing, I would rather have the oatmeal. I hope it all goes well with you!! Steph

Hi April, I had some of the quaker weight control and had no problem, it has 7 grams of protien per serving I believe. I wasn't told yes or no, just to et in mostly protien so I figured this kind was ok. Karyn

Thanks everyone for responses.....my doctor didn't say no to either one. I was just worried about the swelling. I'll give it a try when I'm sure to be home for a little while. Thanks! April

I ate COW during the full liquid stage, and have had it a couple of times since. Oatmeal too...I bought the Weight Control type and it is pretty good. Chele

I've eaten the Quaker Weight Control Cinnamon oatmeal. Personally I think it leaves a lot to be desired. It has 9 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber which is good, but who can eat a whole packet?? Not me. The thing with oatmeal is I get full real fast, maybe 3 spoonfulls. I would rather have some eggbeaters. I get more protein that way. Dawn
