Hello ladies How has your day been? Mine has been good. I had my 6 week follow up appointment today and I only lost 8 lbs. in two weeks. I promised myself I would not let a plataue get to me so I'm staying positive. My total weight loss from surgery is 43 lbs. My grand total is ... Drum roll please....... 105 lb weight loss!!!!!!!!!! He said to jump start my weight loss again stay away from potatoes, rice, bread and pasta and eat plenty protein with 2 protein drinks a day. My G tube was removed Anywho... Here is what I ate today.... B~ Nothing L~ Egg beaters omlette with 3 thinly sliced Turkey breast and lil cheese D~Tuna salad on lettuce S~Protein shake 2- 16 oz bottles of propel so far. I'm sipping water as I type.. Have a great night! Kay 450/388/345/175

Kay, First of all CONGRATS!!!!! You are doing wonderful on your weight loss!! Keep it up girl!! B: one egg with one slice of cheese S: 6 oz of fat free milk L: 4 tbs of low fat cottage cheese 2 tbs of carrots 2 really small pear halves in a can ( drank 16 0z of water) S: 4 oz of fat free milk D: 1 cup healthy choice split pea and ham soup. Need to get more water in though!!

8 pounds in two weeks is great! My doc said that now is the time where I will be slowing down to around 10 pounds a month. I've loss about three pounds in the last two weeks so I am jealous *grin* B - A couple of grapes in the car! S - rotisserie (sp) chicken L - same as above! At least I am saving money on food! S - Ok, not the best but I had some cheez-it's. 4grams of protein per serving lol D - No idea yet. Probably tuna since it has SO much protein. Beth

Hi Kay, Congrats on the weight lose you are doing wonderful. I bet you feel much better now that the G tube is removed. I'm doing good a little nausaus today so I haven't eaten that much. B-Nothing L-2 slices of deli turkey, 2 slices of light swiss cheese, (rolled up with a little mustard D-1/2 of a chicken breast and 1/8 c. of potatos S-SF Jello Water-16.9 ounces so far and still sipping Have a good night everyone, Carly

Hi there Kay!! Miss your smiling face girl, you are the best!! Well I have been good just not hungry ( know shoot me) I have had the following.... B- nothing S- propel water...about 12 oz L- little bbq chicken *****s probably about 6 of them S- nothing yet, it isnt time. D- I havent decided yet, probably some fish or chicken. S- dont know if I am going to have one or not depends on the time, maybe some S/F pudding Hope you all have a great night! Steph

Congrats on getting the tube removed! * lbs is great,I only lost 5! I keep hearing ya'll talk about not being hungry. I am always either hungry or thinking about food. I wish I knew how to change this. B-little piece of chicken L-meatball w/sauce ,about 5 noodle S-turkey peperoni (7 pieces) nuked D-stuffed chicken breast (brocolli & cheese) S-probably sf popsicle or soy nuts

Hi everyone, Great news, Kay, on your appt and the total over 100. That is pretty amazing. I am seeing something here in our posts - including my own - so I am going to point it out. I dont think that the majority of us (including me) are meeting our protein requirements. Like me, there's a significant reduction in protein shakes - maybe we're all just grossed out at this point. But they are still important. So, that's my observation for whatever its worth. I am working hard to exceed my protein figuring that if I over calculate I'll still make it. The irony of this all, we're not eating enough. Thursday's menu: B: slice sprouted toast with a tiny bit of butter, avocado and goat cheese (8g) S: protein shake with soy milk (I am back to my 32g of protein bomb!) L: thai tofu and some flat rice noodles (they did really well) S: more of the tofu, no noodles D: more of the tofu and some rice noodles (I figure 10g for both meals) S: a little less than 1/2 bottle isopure (15g) I know I got 65-70g of protein today, without a doubt. Hey Tiffany I know for a fact that I don't get enough protein in. My surgeon talked to me about it today and I promised myself that tomorrow I will try harder. It's hard for me because I get so full and when it's time for a shake, I'm not hungry enough for it. I still enjoy drinking them. He told me if I drink 2 shakes a day plus protein in every meal, I will meet the requirements. Tomorrow I will try hard!! Thanks for pointing that out! Protein is very important and everybody needs to add more in our diets. Hopefully someone else will read what you said and what I said and make a promise to do better. Thanks girl! Kay

Kay! Great job on the weight loss this far!!! About protein: I only drink one 8 oz protein drink a day and have been consistantly getting over 70g of protein... I have done this since Feb 7th- and never have had to add another shake. So, you guys may only need one if you eat mainly protein for your meals. Anyway, heres what my food day was: F: 8 oz Carb Countdown Chocolate Milk B: 4 oz Carb Control Vanilla Yogurt L: 2 oz Southwest chicken peices with 1 oz 2% Reduced Fat Cheese melted ontop, dipped into some salsa (It was a SouthBeach lunch on the go thing, I just didnt eat the tortillas that came with it) D: Fake homemade "Pizza" (small low carb tortilla, 1 tsp FF italian dressing, 2 oz LF mozzarella and 1 oz turkey pepperoni). Ate 3/4, will eat the rest later when I get a snack attack. F: 1 Scoop Nectar Fuzzy Navel with 10oz water TOTALS: Calories 581 Fat 19 Carbs 23 Protein 86 Vits: 1/2 done Fluids: Man, I can not seem to get past about 40 oz in a day! Exercise: Brisk walk- 30 minutes... wished it were longer, but it wiped me out today!
