I know this is TMI but I really need to know that what I can do. The only thing about the surgery that I hate is the constipation. Every couple days I'm struggling to go to the bathroom. What are you guys doing about this? Am I the only one? I tried Milk of Magnesia but it doesn't help that much. If you have a home remedy that your grandma use to do, let me know. I hope this passes!! i have rny and I was told that stool softeners are best because they won't cause discomfort...when that didn't work my surgeon told me I could take phillips milk of magnesia-and I had no discomfort (but it tastes horrible).

I try to just take Benefiber every other day, seems to help. Good luck.

The only thing that really works for me when I get that way is a glycerin suppository (talk about TMI!). Once it's in, clench up real good for at least 1/2 hr. or as long as you can stand it, and it will ease right out of you like tooth paste in a tube. LOL. Hope it works for you! Hugs, Rosa

I take a natural product every day from Shaklee called Herb Lax. As long as I take 1 every day, I stay normal. But if I even forget one, oh boy! Leeanne

I have the same problem, Kay. I have taken fiber for years, but was told none for 6 months post-op. My problem is that I skip 2 or 3 or even 4 days, and don't even have the urge to go! Bridget

Hi Kay, I have to drink "Smooth Move" Tea once a week. It is by Tradicinal Medicinals. It works great and produces a BM within 8-12 hours. No cramping and all natural senna. I know GNC sells it and below is a webpage you can order it from. Give it a try. Carly http://www.tealand.com/SmoothMove.aspx
