I'm home!!
Hi everyone!
Well, I am officially home from vacation and I had a great time in Vegas with my sister and my friends. I was a bit concerned because I did not know if my poochie would behave, what I would eat, how much walking I would be able to do, etc. I was scared a little.
First, with food.... I did great. I took some beef jerky and string cheese with me. That helped a lot! I also had a little of a cheeseburger, taco insides with some pintos and cheese, and found a great smoothie stand that really helped me out. All in all, I think that I did great with food. I only dumped once, and that was my own fault - I should have known better than to try frozen lemonade!
(my first dump too.... ugh that was quite an experience)
OK, now here are a few little WOW moments from the trip:
~ I DID NOT NEED A SEAT BELT EXTENDER ON THE PLANE!! In fact, there was a little bit of extra room on the seat belt strap!
~ I ACTUALLY WALKED THE LAS VEGAS STRIP!! I have been to Vegas many times and I never actually walked on the strip. Walking to me was very hard and eventually became very painful. But I walked all week and I felt great!!!
~ I COULD BORROW MY FRIEND'S CLOTHES!!! I have not been able to borrow clothes from my friends since I was back in college (and even then, I never looked right in their clothes), so for me to be able to fit a top or in this case, a pair of shorts and capris, I was in heaven!! It was just an amazing feeling
So there are some of my WOW moments from vacation. I had a great week and will always look back at everything I achieved. It may not be anything major, but to me it was. I have come so far in this small time. I would not trade this for anything. Hopefully it only gets better from here!!
Thanks for listening and I hope that everyone has some little WOW moments to really cheer you up!
Best wishes for a bright day --

AMBER,
That is so awesome. I am so glad that you had such a great expereince. That is the best news.
Sorry about the dump, I am dreading my "first time" as well. I am really happy that over the food thing turned out well for you. I get a little freaked when I leave the comforts of home. I guess I have that old addage stuck in my head of "Don't ever try anything new outside the comforts of your home"
Thanks for sharing your awesome experience. Great job girl.
