Exhausted/Bad Cold

Chele, I just had to laugh (sorry) when I read the beginning of your post, because you sounded just like somone in the Nyquil ad! Unfortunately, I have no recommendations on the medicines as I think I've tried them all in the past and none of them ever seem to help my symptoms (although I ironically have never tried Nyquil!!).
Anyway, I hope you start feeling better soon. I think that's one of the harder things to deal with after surgery, medication options (can't swallow pills over a certain size, no NSAIDs, etc). Good luck and feel better.

The sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, fever, sugar-free-so-you-don't-dump, won't-kill-pouch, so-you-can-rest-medicine doesn't exist in my world right now!
To go out on a medicine run at this hour on Friday night/St. Patrick's Day around the time the bars close is not a bright idea
..but I could get really desperate!
Thanks for the well wishes.

And I need Kleenex too! (whines like a baby)

Hi Chele,
I am sorry you are feeling so bad. Over the past few days I have taken a sugar-free tussin made by CVS that has not had any bad effects; dumping or upset stomach. This med is specifically formulated for diabetics. It looks like you already receive plenty of advice on the meds though.
I am wishing you a speedy recovery!
God Bless,
Jen
Chele,
I too have been suffering from a nasty head-cold. I took DayQuil during the day (duh) and Nyquil at night with no problems. Both have acetomenifin (sp) which is generic Tylenol and okay to take. I also saw a liquid Tylenol PM (vanilla flavor) and a lot of other liquid meds.
Good luck to you, send someone out for the Nyquil, it really helps. Oh, also, I had some SF Halls in cherry and lemon-mint. Very helpful.
