Embarrasing body odor????
Have any of you noticed that your underarm deodorant doesn't quite make it through the whole day? I have a nasty body odor that I can't seem to get under control. I have been using Secret spray for several years and never had a problem. I have recently tried several different deodorant/antiperspirants to no avail. I don't think it's ketosis because my breath isn't offensive...just my underarms. I know this is embarrasing, but does anyone else have this problem? If so, what helps?

I buy a natural deodorant and it works wonders. It does not have the aluminums that have been linked to medical issues.
This deodorant is made from natural crystals and I got it at Whole Foods, Krogers, Vit Shoppe. I've tried the 'Naturally Fresh' and 'Crystal' (www.thecrystal) brands.
It comes two ways: the crystal form - which is a rock you wet and rub on your armpits as you get out of hte shower; it lasts a long time. And there is a roll on which is more $ but an easier style preference. For $3.50 I hope you try it and it works. The package descriptive says 'it forms an all natural protective barrier against odor causing bacteria.' Secret always made me smell horrible, too.

Lisa,
I'm post menopausal, but maybe my hormones are still raging. I posted it to the main board and got a couple of good responses. One lady said a PE teacher told her to use alcohol under her arms before putting on deodorant. She swears by it. A couple of others suggested using Mitchum for women. I know my brother used to have a prescription deodorant when he was an athlete (he had problems with sweat glands) and after awhile his Dr. suggested that he buy Mitchum because it was pretty much the same as his prescription. So maybe one of those solutions would help you too. I'm trying both.
