My feet are shrinking

Have any of you gone shoe shopping since surgery?? Yesterday, in my infinite wisdom I decided to paint my fence with my good sneakers on. Call me materialistic, but I was NOT going to the gym with paint all over my shoes. So I ran to the mall and grabbed a cute pair of sneakers. Something told me to try them on and I'm glad I did....they were HUGE!! I wore a 10 pre-op. Even the 9 1/2s we too big. The 9s fit perfect!! Isn't that hilarious?? Dawn

Dawn, I am happy for you and a little jealous. I am waiting for that moment. It's been one of my dreams. I wear a size 12 and it is so hard to find shoes. (Even thought I have a million pair somehow)........HA I am hoping that I shrink some, but I am half way to goal and NO drop in shoe size damn it!!!! Good for you girl. Enjoy the new shoes. ~Kristie

Went down 1/2 a size! Now 7 1/2

One thing that always helped me hide my weight was my small feet, ankles and calves. So I don't have anything to loose on my feet, except bone and I'm not Japanese I have alway worn slightly larger size shoes because my feet are wide or my toes are short, so I get 9's, but if I find wide dress shoes, I can get into a 7 or 8. I don't wear clown shoes, just how the sizing goes I guess. I am not a shoe hound. I have a black and white pair of dress shoes, a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of renaissance faire shoes. I do spend good money on my tennis shoes, I wear them all the time and know what poorly made shoes can do to my body. And now that I am working out, I want even better ones. I paid $80 for my newest pair, insane hun?

Same thing happened to me. I have worn a 91/2 forever... just bought 3 pairs of 8's the other day. I think that before my foot was so wide that it seemed the larger ones fit

Lol I thought I was going crazy thinking how could my feet shrinking. I'm glad you posted your experience. The other night I had to the store so i put my slip on clogs and as I was walking to the store they were hard to keep on they kept falling off.I thought hhhmmmm must have been the socks i was wearing.But now i'm glad it wasn't. I have noticed that my shoes seem to fit better, but I haven't shopped for new shoes since WLS. I would welcome a smaller size... (says she who is a 10W) Chele

I can tell a difference in my shoes. I wear a 6.5 wide and I think I could use a 6--regular!!! Elsa

OMG Dawn I noticed this last weekend. I went to buy a pair of tennis shoes and asked for an 11. They were too big. I asked for a 10 and they fit perfectly. My dress shoes that I wear to church are now slipping when I walk. I had to put tissue in the toes last sunday. This has been an interesting journey. Kay

My feet are one of the places that I have always been skinny Skinny but long, I wear an 11. I wish I could go down a size or two. It's tough finding shoes in size 11
