Good afternoon all 1) What do you usually consume for breakfast? I usally have 1/2c cottage cheese, or sometimes a slice of wheat toast with peanut butter, or like this morning I had a yogurt and a South Beach breakfast bar. 2) Are you faithfully taking your vitamins every day? Yes 3) Are your family members and friends more supportive about the fact that you had surgery now that they can see that you have lost some weight? My husband has been my number one supporter and keeps telling me I am doing great. At work, they have noticed that I have lost weight, and keep commenting on it, but they do not know. Everyone have a great day. Karen

Howdy Chele~ Happy Monday!! It's gloomy here in NJ. The sky looks like it just wants to open up. I have enough house work to keep me busy enough to not even concern myself with the weather outside though. QOD: 1) What do you usually consume for breakfast? I try to change it up every day. If I eat the same things, I will get sick of them. 2) Are you faithfully taking your vitamins every day? Yes. My DH put them on my nightstand and I take them before I even get out of bed. 3) Are your family members and friends more supportive about the fact that you had surgery now that they can see that you have lost some weight? They are almost too supportive. I get tired of hearing the comments and compliments sometimes. You know, there are other things going on in my life besides weight loss. Dawn

Thanks for the fun questions, Chele. I really enjoy reading eveyone's responses. Here are mine: 1) What do you usually consume for breakfast? Apples and Cinnamon instant oatmeal and 3/4 cup 1% lowfat milk. Sometimes I add a couple of strawberries and sometimes I also have a nonfat decaf latte. 2) Are you faithfully taking your vitamins every day? Yes. I take centrum chewables once a day every morning. I take an iron pill in the evening but only every other day because they make me constipated. I take 1 or 2 Viactiv calcium chews during the day (sometimes I do forget the calcium though). I take B-12 sublingually twice a week. 3) Are your family members and friends more supportive about the fact that you had surgery now that they can see that you have lost some weight? Everyone is pretty supportive.

1) What do you usually consume for breakfast? I eat food, shakes dont work well for me, they go thru too fast. usually most of an egg, some beans, or some cottage cheese. not a lot but something and I am a faithful breakfast eater. 2) Are you faithfully taking your vitamins every day? absolutely 3) Are your family members and friends more supportive about the fact that you had surgery now that they can see that you have lost some weight? yes, but i get more questions asking about my health like they are waiting to hear of complications, challenges or that its not working for me. There's too much negative press and stigmas out there about WLS. Relationships are changing, some more supportive, some a bit rocky.

Breakfast for me is usually about 4 in the afternoon, I am just not hungry until then I try to make myself even though the chewables taste so gross. My best friend is jealous, so we don't talk about it. Also, my family don't talk about it really. I get my support from all of you the ones that actually knows what we go through daily. 1) I hardly eat anything in the morning; I just begin with my Isopure in the bottle and eat once that is done (or by the time lunch time comes around -- whichever is first). 2) No, I am terrible about my vitamins, minerals, B-12, calcium, and all my anti depressant meds. I am falling apart at the seams -- literally. Any advice? 3) I think people are less supportive now that time has passed no matter what I look like. When I was in the hospital I got flowers and phone calls. Once I left the hospital I was forgotten all together (or at least that is how it has felt). My own sister called me only once and that was to talk to our Dad while he was visitng during my first week post-op. Only my two best friends keep up with me and check in, and my Dad, too. Other than that people seem to think I should be over it already. Emily 347/296/160
