Weighed at Doctor Today
I saw my PCP this morning and I weighed 277. I have lost 8 lbs since I saw her last 4 weeks ago. I think the weight is coming off so slowly, but she was happy. She thinks a steady 2 lb a week weight loss average is good.
I go to the surgeon/NUT tomorrow, so I will see what they say about my slow loss.
At my highest, about two years ago, I was 366. So I'm trying to look at it this way: I am down almost 100 lbs from my highest. I lost some last summer by increasing my exercise, then lost 23 lbs the two weeks before surgery, and then 33 lbs since surgery. I guess in the whole scheme of things, that's pretty darn good!!!!
My BP was 110/72 without meds!!!! That was the best news.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Raining here in Chicagoland....
Hi Patti! You have done amazing, I am so happy for you! It sounds like you have lost a ton of weight with and without the surgery and maybe your body is trying to catch up with the loss. Are you eating enough? I know when I don't eat my weight loss slows down, but if I eat and eat and drink and drink, it seems to fall right off- weird, I know! anywho, I think you've done fantastically and can't wait to be 277 myself lol.

That's wonderful news about your HB meds!!! It seems to be quite repeative that people who lost a lot before surgery slow down some after. This has to be at least the 10th time I read it. As long as the scale is moving down, who cares how long it takes right? It's the constant progression that matters most.
Keep up the good work!!

I am with you all.... I think that is great. You are doing good and They do say that it is better if you loose slower. It's better for your body, skin to adjust. My goal is 10 a month but it I do 8 a month then I will be 156 by September. I can handle that....... So hang in there! Your health is doing so much better. Mine to haven't had a diabetic pill since surgery. Hugs Ellie
