What can you still not eat?

I'm still having trouble with red meat pretty consistently. And if I eat something with too much sugar, particularly first thing in the morning, look out! Overall, I'm adapting pretty well and able to add more things all the time. I just am really craving a steak on the grill!

Luckily, I'm good with meat- we raise our own beef so its extra lean and yummy! We had hamburger last night, oh la la! Have you tried it after you've put in the blender for a bit to break it up? Then I warm it up and expose some juice and its kinda like shredded beef. I can't do deli meat to save my life. It just sits in my pouch (pookie) and makes her gurgle and talk... lately when I see it, I just want to :puke: lol Weird!!!!! You're not the only one having red meat probs. There's a lady in a couple towns over that can't do it either. Maybe soon though!!!! *~*Jaci*~*

I haven't had problems with anything yet; however there are a lot of things I haven't tried yet. Red meat is one of them. I was feaning for a steak yesterday with some A1 sauce. I didn't give in though. I opted for flounder and shrimp instead...equally delicious!! Now that I think about it sugar alcohols upset my stomach but that happened pre-op too. Dawn

I have no problems with red meat at all, or deli meat. The two things that I have had issues with repeatedly, is chicken and scrambled eggs. I can do eggs over medium...sometimes. Chele

Have you tried Egg Beaters? I have a problem with regular eggs, but no problems with the EB. Susan

I really don't have anything I'm having trouble with other then regular eggs. But I switched to Egg Beaters and have no problem. The only trouble I ever find myself in is eating too fast and feeling like I'm going to die because of it. It's so easy to slip back in those "inhaling" your food ways. One of the easiest things I've found to eat is lettuce. I try to have salad at least once a day. Susan

Hi Amy A big juicy steak off the grill would be wonderful! I haven't tried it yet because I'm scared it will hurt. Yesterday I tried a few bites of a beef rib and it was YUMMY! I didn't have any problems from it and I was suprised. The things I have tried and my pouch don't like is.. oatmeal, chili, bacon, ground meat and pasta. I have not tried anything with too much sugar either. Kay

I can't really do meat that much either. Makes me Especially red meat. I also can't do eggs, I used to crave them and it was hard for me cause everybody would talk about how yummy eggs are and now I just don't even want to try them anymore. I even tried egg beaters and they didn't work. Dana

I am pretty lucky, not much bothers me. I do have to watch the fat, that bothers me. I had a piece of cheese that wasn't low fat with some turkey and the cheese was making me sick. As soon as I took the cheese off and finished the rest, it was ok. Also, I have to watch the dryness of meats and fish, that bothers me . I can't eat or drink anything with any sugar. Well, I assume. The only thing I have tried is light juice and I dump. So, if that does it to me I am sure sugar would. Leeanne

Been too scared to try red meat yet. I found out last night I cannot eat leftover chicken, though! I had a severe, and classic case of the 'foamies' I read about here on OH! AWFUL. That was the first time since surgery I tried to throw up... I WANTED to throw up, but all that came out was foam, the choke you, block your throat, gag you kind of foam. YUK! Sandy L
