Rite Aid has biotin in tablets, been taking it since first week after surgery. It isn't that big of a tablet either. I take one a day.

mine has been falling out for over a year but lately OMG..I shower and my hands are just covered with hair. It is scary but I do not see a difference as yet. I have an appt. in the morning with GI doc to see about my sticture. I am told the hair loss thing doesn't last long.

I have not lost hair, but then, my hair is very fine anyway. I also don't use protein drinks at all because the ones I tried tasted nasty. I still enjoy real food and get protein from that. Diana

Yes, I am losing my hair, too. I thought I was doing really well with getting my protein in, but it still must not be enough. My mommy is a beautician and bought me some Nioxin today. I am going to start using it tonight. I had worried about my hair, that was my motivation to try to get my protein in, but I guess I'd better try a little harder. I took biotin before, I guess I should start taking that again, too... it couldn't hurt, but I have a hard enough time just taking my regular vitamins... Where do we find the time to do all of the stuff we are supposed to do? I hope that you can find something that will work for you...

Hi all, I have been noticing it, too. Longer than anyone has been talking about it here, but I thought I was overreacting. But over the last 2 days I have definitely lost a lot more than normal. I agree that the premixed Isopure is the way to go. I have gotten used to the taste and drink it straight (over ice usually). It is a bit expensive, but worth it in the long run. Hopefully out hair loss will be short lived and then come back better than ever! Emily

Sitting here reading all these posts on hair loss. I had to put my hands through mine to see if there was any coming out of my head. No not a one....... As far as the protein drinks go. I told my doctor that I don't like to eat in the morning and he said it was OK to substatute a protein drink for a meal. Some times I have two a day. Depending on if I can eat any protein or not. I don't like eating alot cause it hurts going down. The things that don't hurt I should be limiting. So I have a protein drink. If I throw up what I ate I have a protein drink. I beleive at this point you need to get that protein in no matter how you do it. Ellie
