A little about Melissa

I don't post much but I check the board at least 8 times a day . I love you all and it really feels like a family, here. Anywho, about me, when I had my surgery (1/26/06) I weighed 645 lbs ( I know big girl) I now weigh 531 (still a big girl) but I am going down. I am being filmed by Discovery Health, my surgery was filmed, my family and friends. They will film me about every two monthes for a check up and when I hit my "goal weight" they will air the program. Crazy huh. So while all of you are getting out of the 26/28 I can not wait to get into them. So feel free to ask me any thing and as you guys are happy to get out of the 300 or 200 I am happy to get into them. Welcome to the January board! It is great to read your post. You are an inspiration to all of us! I recently saw a program on Discovery Health about plastic surgery after WLS. They filmed a family who had 4 adult daughters who had WLS. It was a great program. I hope they repeat it soon. Anyway, good luck on your journey! You are already a big success! Diana

Melissa, It is good to get to know you a little bit! That is pretty cool about discovery filming you. I love those shows, we don't have cable so I rarely get to watch them. Your weight loss is amazing! You have come a long way in 2 months. God Bless, Jen

Hello I am not a native Texan either, I am about an hour and half north of Houston. That is where my Doc is I come down every two weeks to see him. Plus my DH goes to ITT down there so on Wed. I go to school with him. Maybe we can meet sometime. Thank you, Melissa

Hi Melissa Thanks for coming out of hiding and introducing yourself. This board is so Awesome, we really are a big family. Being filmed by Discovery Health sounds exciting. I love that channel. I am also waiting to get into a 26/28. I'm really close but not yet. I starting out weighing 450 and wearing a 34 pants. So a 26/28 is pretty darn exciting to me. I know how ya feel!
