Help, I have a terrible Headache!!

Good morning! Last night I woke up with a headache and have not been able to sleep well at all. What can I take? I just asked the question on the Main board and everyone is saying Tylenol. I am allergic to Tylenol. What else is safe for our pouches?? I found some Excedrins .. are they ok?? I really would like to go back to sleep for a couple more hours. Thanks Kay

Kay I wish I had answers for you. I've never been told that we can't take Tylenol or Advil..... Is there a reason why you/we can't take ibuprofen? Susan

We can take Tylenol but Advil or Motrin (Ibuprofen) is a pouch burner (like aspirin). It's a NSAID. Kay, do you have any Lortab left over from surgery? Chele

We can't take Excedrin. Let us know what your Dr. reccomended if you can't take Tylenol. I woke up with a headache this morning as well and Tylenol does nothing for me. Leeanne

Kay - call your surgeon. I was told we can take only Tylenol and have found the quick-release variety works well. If you're allergic, then they should be able to give you something else. I know Vicodin is okay since that's what they gave me to come home with, but that might have acetiminophen in it...

More water and back off the sugar free products that are filled with aspartame!! HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER. definately call your surgeon, it may be a symptom of something else in our healing bodies. PS - excedrin is loaded with caffeine.............

Chiming in really late here. Are you OK? Did your surgeon give you any ideas? I have only taken Tylenol or Lortab since surgery so don't have any ideas. Other than maybe an icepack. Hope you're feeling better.
