What were you thinking while going under aneastesia???
Hi everyone,
I just saw this question posted on the main board and thought it was really interesting. So, what were your thoughts??
I was first thinking I'm so scared and then the drugs started working and I couldn't open my eyes. I kept saying to myself..Please god let me be okay. I said that about 3 times I think and then I was out!! That was my first time going under. I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gong to be.

It was my first time going under, I was o****il they put me on the table. Jonathan (The guy taping for Discovery) was asking me questions, and the whole time I was praying to God, I was so afraid. They had my arms straight to the sides of me and I was asking God to hold my hand. I felt something warm in my hand ( I looked over to see whose it was and I saw nothing)and was no longer afraid. Jonathan said I went out in the middle of a word. I remember waking up and my hands were under me, Jonathan was there and I ask him to hold my hand and rub them and he did. We really bonded LOL. My Mom said that I told her over and over again "Grandma was there she held my hand, she stayed the whole time." I lost my Grandma in the 6th grade I was so close with her. All I know is as soon as I felt a warm hand in mine I was at peace. Anywho, that is what it was like for me.

All I remember was the nurse telling the group of us that were going to have surgery this morning to handle all are personal belongs to our family member.
They walked us down the hall...One by one they took us in to a room and asked us to change into those lovely cloth gowns with no underwear or bras or anything covering those spots. Then I was told to jump up and lay down on the hospital bed a nurse will be over in a minute to ask you some questions.
Well I remember talking to the nurse because all of you women would understand it was that time I started a couple of hours before heading to the hospital. Next I was waking up in recovery being told it would be a while that the hospital had no rooms available right then.......But after a a couple of hours. My husband said they took me at 6:30am to surgery and I came out at 8AM something but didn't get a room until 2:48 pm. Besides that everything went great......Suzan
Well, I was terrified. Then again, I always am! Yet, there was this excitement too. I just couldn't believe that I was FINALLY going to have this surgery that I had waited for so long to have. It seemed almost surreal.
Then the versed (medication) hit me and I was loopy and didn't care WHAT happened to me!

This was my first time having surgery so I was nervous. I remember thinking "this is it, no way back now" when the guy who gave me the anaesthesia said "sleep well". I took a deep breath and prayed that I would be able to see my family again.
Luckily, it went very quickly and I can't remember anything else other than the nurse telling me that I was in the recovery room and everything went well.
