1 Year Surgery Event - PLS RESPOND

Hi Everyone, There's been talk of us all meeting for our one year surgiversaries. I have been talking with the 'leaders' Cara, Leann and some others and am going to put in motion the travel logistics meaning get an awesome hotel, an airline and car company discount. I did a quick analysis of cities that are warmer, have good jet service and affordable pricing in January. San Diego seems to be our best bet so that is our chosen destination. With that I would like to get some info from each of you.... 1) do you prefer the weekend of 19 January or 26 January? 2) would you prefer a 3 star hotel in the $100 price range or a 4 star in the $125 range? 3) are you interested in sharing a room with someone (that you organize)? 4) do you plan to attend? 5) would you prefer an unstructured weekend or some formal activities, even if it means we each pay a general fee of (estimated) $75? 6) would you like to help the planning efforts and is there any particular item you'd like to work on? I have a database of pretty much every hotel in the SAN area...and this is along the lines of what I do for my day job so I'll bid out the business to both levels of hotel and can compare availability and pricing. Know I am looking for the nicest hotel at the lowest price and a property with a pool and spa....we may even be able to get a discount for the spa services. Cara and Leann are going to lead the rest of the planning....everyone's help is needed. We can make this as simple or as grand as we want it. I'll also be soliciting some of these OH advertisers for sponsorship which might bring goodie bags, in room stuff, reception treats, etc... We'll need help with that task, too. I am a big advocate of free stuff and sponsorship dollars from companies! Please share your thoughts on the questions above as it will help us get an idea of how many will attend and I can get the hotel secured. Any other ideas are welcomed! Hi.... Some questions have been sent to me so here's more info: Superbowl is 4 Feb in Miami so it wont conflict with our plans. The holiday wkd of 12 Jan was not suggested as the feeling is that everyone would be busy with kids being off school. If that date is your preference let us know. I'm not sure how much time I will have with work, but I do live very close to San Diego and could possibly help. Just not sure if I will have any time.

I am so TOTALLY THERE!!!! Oh yeah, I live here in San Diego So any weekend is good for me and unfortunately I would offer up a place to stay but my house is packed to the gills with 2 kids 2 moms, 1 dad and a cat.
