I hope no one minds if I take roll call today. Grace is still sleeping, DH just went home to get us clothes and to get Gracie's Easter dress for tomorrow. I am sitting here starving so I am going to talk about food today. 1. Do you snack? On what? How often? 2. What is your favorite beverage? 3. What is your best post-op recipe? Please share it with me. I hope you all have a great weekend. For the Christians in our group, Have a Blessed and Joyous day tomorrow, for if we did not celebrate tomorrow, we would have no hope. Love ya all! God Bless, Jen

Hey Sweets!! Happy Resurrection Sunday tomorrow! QOD: 1. Do you snack? On what? How often? Not often, if I do it is late at night before bed, bad I know. Normally it will be soy chips, a cheese stick, 3 or 4 mini pretzels, or 1/2 rice cake. 2. What is your favorite beverage? SF Kool-Aid 3. What is your best post-op recipe? Please share it with me. I made a SLAMMIN' chicken thing a few weeks ago. I don't know if it is a REAL recipe, I sorta made it up as I went along. boneless, skinless chicken breast (pounded thin) canned spinach sun dried tomatoes provolone cheese creamed soup Place 1/2 slice cheese on top of chicken, followed by 1 teaspoon spinach and 1 teaspoon tomatoes. Roll up and close with a toothpick. Repeat until all chicken is used. Put in a casserole dish and cover with creamed soup of your choice. Back at 350 for 35-40 mins. Love, Dawn

Good morning. How's the baby doing? I do hope she is getting better. 1. I snack on occasion. Mostly on Jerky. 2. My favorite hot drink is coffee, cold is FUSE. 3. I don't really have a post-op recipe. I cook for a living and really don't cook a whole lot at home. It is so good to know other Christians. I sometimes seems like we are few and far between. I will be celebrating today with my mom, stepdad and sister and brother-in-law. Tomorrow will be spent with my children and grandchildren. Family is the biggest gift that God has given us. Have joy filled holiday. Hazel

Hi Jen, I just got back from taking my daughter to our church Easter egg hunt. The kids had so much fun and lots of candy! 1 Easter egg hunt down, 2 more to go. 1~ I do snack but not often. My snacks are protein shakes, fruit or a Q smart bar. 2~Black Cherry Propel 3~This is inspired from Jack in the box Southwestern pita... Chicken breast sliced in strips and seasoned w/pepper, garlic and lil chili seasoning. Sautee it w/ sliced onions and bellpeppers. When its done, stir in canned black beans and corn ( I rinse them to take some of the salt away) I don't use the corn often because of carbs so usually its just chicken, beans and veggies. My partner eats her's as a wrap, I eat mine plain. PS: I'm not a good cook but it's good to me. Have a blessed day Kay

How is Grace doing today? I've been thinking about her ...and about you. 1) I guess you could say I snack, however I'm supposed to eat 6-8 times a day so you could consider when I do eat, one of my "meals". I have been eating nuts, a piece of cheese, maybe a cracker here or there. Yogurt, 1/2 a Power Crunch bar...I dunno, lots of things. Again, they are, for all intents and purposes, my "meals". 2) Diet Dr. Pepper Berries and Cream (my BELOVED!)...or the Vanilla Cherry. After sitting out with lots of ice, almost totally flat and diluted. However, I do limit myself to a few a week. My favorite thing to drink in general is Real Lime (the crystallized lime juice) in water. I drink it every day. 3) Uh...I'm in a rush so I'll haveta get back to ya! Happy Easter! Happy Sunday! Happy...Weekend! Off to the gym and to the store and to do errands and... Chele

Hi Jen, My thoughts are with you and Grace on this holiday...with wishes for speedy recovery. 1. Do you snack? On what? How often? Luna bars are my current favorite. The Carmel Chocolate Crunch is my weakness with 8g of sugar and 10g of protein. Also cheese sticks are high on my list. I have a snack 1-2x a day as part of my scheduled food intake. 2. What is your favorite beverage? I still miss Pelligrino, my fave sparking water. Otherwise its lemon water. I dont like artificial things. 3. What is your best post-op recipe? Please share it with me. Black beans from Baja Fresh, lots of shredded cheese, a bit of their brown salsa and into the microwave for 30 seconds. My pouch gurgles in delight for 30+ minutes each time.

1. Do you snack? On what? How often? 2. What is your favorite beverage? 3. What is your best post-op recipe? Please share it with me. 1. Yes, I do snack especially in the evening after getting home from work rice cakes-since my doctor states no popcorn, strign cheese, protein bars, decaf nonfat coffee, sugarfree decaf chai tea 2. Crystal light fruit punch-raspberry lemonade- peach tea, chai decaf tea 3. turkey meatballs or meatloaf 1 lb of ground turkey 1/4 cup of plain protein powder 3 T. chopped finely garlic 1/4 cup chopped onions 1 packet of baratric tomato soup "powder only" do not make 1 cup of your favorite cheese shredded 1 egg Mix all ingredients together then roll and make into balls. Cook in a fry pan using pam or a low calorie spray. Or you can put the whole mix into a loaf pan then spread on top a couple of tablespoons of your favorite topping such as low carb-low calorie b.b.q sauce, or terayki sauce etc.. If you decide to put it in a loaf pan then cook it for 30 to 40 minutes at 450. You can freeze these and pull out and just warm up for easy quick meals...... Add your favorite sauce or dipping sauce to taste. And enjoy........
