Lately thats all I want is eggs with cheese on top. Not eggbeaters, the real deal!! So how bad for us is eggs? Do you think too much eggs would be a bad thing? I know eggbeaters are better for ya but thats not what I'm craving right now. I just had an egg for lunch and It was so delicious. So do ya think they are too high in fat to have everyday or just bad for our new post op "diet" ?? Whatcha think?? I know I ask some of the dumbest questions. Kay

I eat real eggs every now and again. Usually when I crave something if I eat it once I don't want it again for a while. As a matter of fact I ate a little egg salad with real mayo in it. It was wonderful. I just made sure the next couple of days I watched my fat intake. Janet

Hi Kay, I made egg salad about a month ago w/organic brown eggs. I used a little mayo, mustard & true lemon in it. It was wonderful, I ate it with a few crackers instead of bread. It cured my craving. Enjoy! Carly

It seems like the fat is the only thing that is a "little" high, but if you eat low fat foods the rest of the day then it's nothing to worry about. Just be sure to cook them in FF cooking spray and not butter...lol Dawn

My surgeon suggests if I want eggs, to make 2 eggs, one yoke. The fat is in the yoke. I can only eat one egg, and then very rarely, eggs don't work for me. But I don't take the yoke out, that's what I like. Eggs are a very good food, one of the best. We don't really have to worry about colesteral now, we eat too little. If you crave it, there is something in it you need, so eat to your hearts content. We can't really eat enough of anything, good or bad, to hurt us right now. Eggs are a very good sorce of protein too. The cheese makes it better. Enjoy.

I have eggs with cheese on them almost everyday for breakfast. I love that it's hot, but fast. They really satisfy me and I think they are a great food. My eggs are 60 cals, 6 g protein + 80cals cheese, 8 g protein: so 140 cals and 14g protein are very good numbers-- Cathy

Thank you everyone for your reply on my egg question. I guess the only thing I have to worry about is the Fat content. Thanks again Kay

There is a brand that WalMart carries, Egglands Best. They have reduced fat and added omega. They are like regular eggs, in shells and to me taste exactly the same. Check them out. God bless, Jen
